I rang them last week to reschedule my appointment that was scheduled for the same day. A completely unavoidable meeting was put in my diary at work over lunch and I had to attend so asked to reschedule my check up. The receptionist was extremely unhelpful and kept putting me on hold while she asked the manager questions - she then informed me it was her second day. I understand that people learn on a new job but when she told me that the manager would ring me back to reschedule, I waited for their call but never heard anything. I called back 2 hours before the time the appointment was scheduled and was told by the same person that the manager was "dealing with an important situation" which was not only unhelpful but pretty rude. Implied this was not important to them. I then got transferred to the manager who told me they wouldn't give me any flexibility to reschedule my appointment so they've charged me a £30 fee ON TOP of the £80 I paid to secure the appointment. I only had to pay to secure the appointment because of their error in marking me as a "no show" as referenced above. I told them was not giving my permission to be charged to which the manager replied with glee "we don't need your consent". I told them I wouldn't be returning which was "absolutely fine" by the manager. I hung up at that point. I've spent hundreds of pounds here in the last 2 years, and never cancelled/rescheduled at short notice. Not only were they completely inflexible but incredibly rude.
All of the staff are friendly and helpful
Whilst there I had a clean from their Hygienist, and I must say, it was the most thorough cleaning I have ever had, the guy was polite and careful and took his time to do the job right, fantastic!
Thanks guys, I cant recommend you high enough, well done
Martyn
My previous visits have been fine as had a combination of NHS and private treatment done on a tooth by the previous dentist who has now left. The dentist I saw yesterday was borderline rude and impatient.
She said she couldn't do any of the treatments I need there as was too complicated and the NHS doesn't cover it. It was almost like going to a used car salesman (but more painful) "The NHS will give you this crown, which is rubbish". "But for £1700 you can have this shiny new crown PLUS a root canal treatment!"
She then told me to hurry and make up my mind about the referral and rushed me out. Like most people in this current climate I can't afford that and NHS dentistry is a joke.
Will probably just end up having the tooth pulled as can just about afford that. I pity the nations teeth as this is the way the country is going. Can't afford private care. The government says tough s**t.
Not only is there no NHS dentists available, they will refuse most treatments anyway so what the point? The rest of the staff here are great and friendly and I suppose they can only do what they are allowed to do but it's frustrating when all the dentist wants to do is quote figures to you.
Hey! It's only £850 for your root canal. Special offer. Bargain. :-(
Caring, gentle and thorough.
