Practice has a tendency to overprescribe antibiotics without treating underlying issues. Things just take too long and we are having to source emergency treatments on weekends to have the work done to treat these underlying issues. In times where we are seeing rise is antibiotic resistance I feel reoccurring 5 day penicillin prescriptions aren't good enough. This is experience of myself and my partner who has suffered months with a broken wisdom tooth. Dentist wouldn't remove it without a hospital xray despite there being xray machine in practice.. referral for this xray was lost so he waited like a month thinking it would be removed his next appointment when he was told no that was for a checkup only. So my partner went to out of hours at the weekend due to unbearable pain. An NHS dentist xrayed and removed wisdom tooth in under 1 hour and divulged he should not have had antibiotics as there was no abcess just decay. After the copious issues I had having a root canal I just feel like problems keep coming.

Everyone at The Cupar Dentist, from the receptionist to the nurse and the dentist, are so friendly and welcoming. The dentist explained every bit of my treatment, was patient and completed the most fantastic job of fitting me with my new crown.
I can't thank them enough for the work they did. Fantastic😃

Waiting way too long (5+ months) for treatment for one painful problem despite my attending an emergency appointment which resulted in zero help. A problem which the dentist gave me 3 different opinions for re treatment. Worried dentist doesn't know what to actually do? or just lazy? I've left that practice in favour of the caring professional treatment I've needed.

Too many cancelled or changed appointments at short notice. Stressful environment having to wait well past appointment times to be seen. No heating in the building even in the middle of winter. Have seen dentist getting annoyed at receptionists despite them clearly knowing how to do their job. Definitely worth changing practices to avoid the poor customer service

Waited for almost a year now for an appointment to have my tooth fixed. Appointments been made and cancelled several times now with a variety of excuses. I would recommend going elsewhere if you would like to be seen.

Appointment cancelled without any notice whatsoever - changed date of urgent work from 8th December to 22nd with no idea why. Advised to call back the following day and lo and behold, no one is there at all. Get straight to voicemail.

Not sure what happened post-Covid but it's a total shambles. No staff. No flexibility. Thoroughly inadequate to be honest.

I have a fear of dentists and my practice have helped me overcome the fear . They have done an amazing job in calming me down to have several appointments to allow necessary treatment . I am full of praise for them as I am not the easiest of patients , we now have a bit if a laugh which helps me enormously .
If there is anyone out there like me then don't be afraid to make an appointment .

The girls at the dentist from receptionist right to the dental girls, all so lovely and they always do a brilliant job! My last visit was for a tooth extraction and it couldn’t have gone better, they made me feel at ease and the procedure felt so smooth. Can’t fault the girls one bit, brilliant dentist.
