Bupa Dental Care Penarth

For many years I have not had a problem with this surgery but unfortunately since Charlotte Lloyd is no longer seeing patients the service has gone down hill. Every appointment I have booked with Rhys has been cancelled and now today my hygienist appointment has also been cancelled. The surgery never put any cover in place so not to mess there customers around. I am now looking for another dental surgery.

I used to be terrified of the dentist, but I have to say since I started coming to Bupa Dental Care Penarth, it is no longer something I'm afraid of. The staff are all friendly and kind, and I was put at ease by the dentists that I saw. Lawrence and Jason have been amazing, everything was carefully explained to me, no pressure, no stress. I used to get myself worked up weeks in advance of going for a dental appointment, but since I started coming here that just isn't the case anymore. The service is very professional from everyone that works there. I'm always greeted by welcoming staff at reception, I cannot fault it. Highly recommended.

Had the most superb professional and personal clean and fixing of a broken cap this morning. Was very pleasantly surprised by the NHS discounting for the eligible service. The best of both worlds without the cost! Will absolutely be attending for all future work. Thanks guys!

Absolutely disgusting service this morning. Had a hygienist appointment at 11 and a dentist appointment at 11.30 booked 6 months in advance and childcare arranged. Queue for the reception desk when I got there so the hygienist came out and called me straight in and asked me to wait in the waiting area for my next appointment. At 11.36 I heard a receptionist say my name on the phone to someone so I got up in case they were looking for me. She finished her conversation and told me that the dentist had not realised I was booked in and he had now called the patient after me who would be in his room for an hour. I could wait if I wanted but otherwise he could not see me. She said if this happens again to make sure I book in when I come out of the hygienists room. I told her it wouldn't happen again as I won't be returning and she actually scoffed and asked if I wanted to pay for my hygienist session. What a disgusting attitude! Totally unacceptable. I could accept it if they had called my name and I had not responded but they didn't even check if I was there and I was in the waiting room the whole time! I have been visiting this dentist for years and never been treated this way. I had to leave without being seen. I am absolutely disgusted.

Jason Sugrue is the best dentist I've had! He is very professional and thorough. He was very reassuring during a worrying time. Highly recommended.
I was also very impressed with the measures the staff took during the Covid-19 period.

So on the 23 of February I woke up with a bit of pain in my tooth and contact Penarth dental care to make an appointment, managed to get one for the 8th of March I did mention that I had quite a bit of pain but that was the best they could do, I went on my appointment date the dentist looked at everything and took x-rays and told me to make a new appointment for another day so that I could have the tooth sorted out which I did managed to get an appointment for the 8th of April 2 days before the appointment I get a call informing me that the appointment needs to be moved and the next date for the appointment is the 11 Of May how is this helpful in any way don't think they care at all more like BUPA DENTAIL DISTRACTION

I have been using this dentist for a number of years now. All the dentists are great, but Nasra deserves a special mention. She is fantastic, alway respectful and polite. She took the time to fully explain my treatment plan to me, and kept me fully updated as the treatment began. The girls on reception and Stacey the hygienist are excellent to. Thank you to everyone at BUPA dental care in Penarth. I am very happy 😁
