Good Little Argos situated down a side road in St Albans Town. Ideal for quick pick up by foot. Abit tricky for Larger items and Car parking due to shop Location.

Is a handy store for all sorts of stuff you need in life. BUT if you need a larger/heavier item - vacuums/bin/chair etc which are always in stock - it's a nightmare, especially now the Griffiths Way Retail Park store has CLOSED (was bad enough when Harpenden store closed). The on street parking nearby is a nightmare. Lots of drivers park here all day without buying a 1 hour parking sticker and the wardens have been told not to ticket them. The next nearest place to park are the multi storeys, although only 7-10 minutes away is too far when you have bigger items. However the staff are great and very helpful so if you're parked fairly close by and they're not too busy they will try to help.

I reserved a football game here which my son has wanted for ages, but couldn't get there due to an unexpected trip to A & E..I rang and spoke to a really nice young girl who extended the reservation so I could get there at a later date.....good old fashioned service, above and beyond what I expected...well done.

Had to return a TV, we were dealt with by Makayla who knew what she was talking about, was incredibly friendly and helpful. I wasn’t looking forward to taking the TV back but the service we received was so good we left very happy!!

With Sainsburys closing pretty much all other large Argos shops,
It's good to have one where you can actually buy what you need and not have to order in

I normally order online and collect from the desk. I always get a wonderful service; staff are so helpful and friendly. I had a problem with an electrical item and argos refunded me the taxi money as I had to get a taxi to bring it back to store and a replacement sent to me next day free of charge. Great service and superb selection of goods. Its always my first port of call when I am looking for any particular item. Vouchers promotion spends also a great idea when you need to buy a more expensive item. Argos card also allows to pay up to 6 months no interest which is brilliant for buying something a bit more pricey. The Spencer Street store is located close to town centre generally you can park outside for a short time to pick up an item too.

I should have known better that to use Argos to by a new mattress. I'm a student so don't have loads of money to spare but desperately needed a new mattress. I went on line and found a double mattress for £100 bargain I thought. Well I've had it less than a month and already the springs are starting to come through the mattress. I should have listened to my mum when she told me that my brother brought a dinner table from Argos. My dad went to move it and it broke. I have also heard lots of other bad stuff about the quality of Argos furniture. I had my reservations about buying such a cheap mattress but I've brought other stuff from Argos like bedding and not had a problem

Who doesn't love argos or the laminated book of dreams. I could spend an eternity browsing through their catalogue looking for stuff to buy stuff I didn't even know I needed until I saw it in the book. The only downside of this store is the ridiculous parking situation. If you are planning to get some thing big and bulky or heavy you best hope you can park right outside otherwise its a long walk from there to the city's main centre car parks
