Update.
I wrote a long tweet and tagged TK Maxx and I was refunded with a gift card however, I won't be using it at the Epsom shop. Not shopping there again
Remember customers are Not an interuption to your work but the very reason you have the work.
Friendly staff.
Good prices.
And well shocked 😲, looks bigger on the inside.
My baby needed to be nappy changed and she started to cry . I went to the changing room and asked the lady there if I can use a changing room to change my baby as she was also hungry and wanted to feed her.
She was very rude saying tha baby nappy are smelly and customers will complain so she didn’t want to let me go and change her or feed her as there was no facility in the store for that which I understand but the baby was really fussy and crying a lot and I couldn’t calm her down with the milk I had in the bottle ready .
So I told her I want to speak to a manager about this as is completely abnormal to not let me change and feed the baby.
I was waiting for the manager to come and in the meantime the lady was explaining to her in the headphones they use that I’m very annoying and is not her problem my baby cries .
In the end someone came and let me use the disabled people bathroom to change the baby. I’m
Wondering what kind of people we have around us to not have empathy for a baby crying and hungry. I’m not going to use this store ever and they should be ashamed for the way I have been treated as customer and as a mum with no help.
The lady send me to M&S if I want to change the baby . She says she doesn’t care
Long story:
The staff told me that their till wasn't letting them process the refund via PayPal as it was "too big" and that I needed to contact customer services. I then rang customer services from home who told me that they couldn't help me and that I needed to go back to the store and the Epsom staff needed to call them for assistance whilst they processed the order if they couldn't do it. The guy on the phone was very unhelpful and not at all sympathetic; saying I could either pay to return the order to the warehouse or spend more money going back to the store again to resolve (no free post available despite them sending me on a wild goose chase).
I worked out that the issue was that the Epsom staff were trying to refund 2p more than I had paid via PayPal (hence the system telling them it couldn't do it). Took it to Kingston and the staff instantly managed to do it. Save yourself the hassle and go to Kingston instead.
