Argos Newport Maesglas Retail Park

Most Argos stores are very similar. This is an average sized store. Easy parking just outside. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Any problems I've had in the past (very few) have always been dealt with with the minimum of fuss. As stock goes, this Argos almost always has what I want in stock and ready to pick up. Many other stores often do not. Recommended.

Manager was very abrupt and unhelpful, she argued about the technicality of what was or wasn't a fault and what I could or couldn't prove about it when returning an item that wasn't doing what it should.

Retuned the item to a different store with no problems whatsoever. Some people just enjoy the authority to say 'no' a bit too much.

I'll just use Amazon in future. Well done 👍

Partner went to return a £90 item today that didn’t even work. The employee saw the smallest scratch possible then proceeded to rub a glossy plastic finish with rough tissue and then say there were more scratches and to just keep the item. Manager was no use. Went to a different store, they didn’t know what the issue was. Gave a full refund and suggested to write a complaint. Terrible customer service and management…

Excellent service. Young man came over sorted out what I wanted and collected it for me in and out in 5 mins. Young man very polite and helpful.

If I could give no stars I would. The cocky customer service I just received was beyond a joke. Girl with glasses, Cocky attitude thought she was someone special jobs worth. Absolute joke of a store

Attempted to call the stall number where I just ended up with a continous automated robot talking at me telling me to go online where it'll make my life wonderful. I went online and after the automated robot checks what I wanted to do via chat it gives me a 0345 number to call. So I came off the computer rang the different number given to speak to somebody and its the automated robot again asking the same questions whilst telling me I can do it all online before the call being disconnected on me. Argos used to be the place to go as it was quick and hassle free for buying, returning and even speaking to someone over the phone for help. This place needs to be renamed index as that's where its heading.

I actually like this method. Saves time rather than hanging around other people waiting for your order.

This argos is mainly out of stock for items meaning only the option on paying £6-£12! Home Delivery. I bought a Habitat Reade Mesh Office Chair - Grey for £27 and when I first opened it I immediately saw thread loose and hanging out. I do not expect thos from a brand new item. Also checked back online it argos has put the price UP to £45!! Haha no way ! Do not know what happened to argos but this is the last place I'll look for things in future.
