They have a very varied range of products ranging from chocolates to stationary to bath towels to paint and they also offer a great area for pet and bird food. They were selling a bucket of 50 fatballs for just £3.99 each and our garden birds love them. The staff have always been friendly to me and my wife and whenever we have needed assistance they were very courteous and jolly. The only small point that was negative is that the place looks like it could do with a good clean but having said this there are very reasonably priced household items so it is worth a visit.

Nice range of products very reasonable prices friendly helpful staff. Only drawback is that there no free parking and the paid parking is a long walk if you purchase something heavy like their low cost bird seed which is 12kg for £9.99.

Because after walking round the store twice i
found out they hadn't got any fatballs.
I was assisted by one very helpful young lady, and told me they hadn't got any.
I do like to feed the wildlife.

Poundstretcher is one of those stores that's always worth visiting, as they usually have such a wide range of products, and more than a few bargains. This branch is similar in size to most of their other in town stores I've visited with plenty of space to get around the aisles. Stock wise, they'd been selling off their Summer garden ranges with 25% off, so a few sparse or empty shelves as they changeover their seasonal ranges to Halloween & Christmas. Unlike most of their other branches I've been to recently, I was disappointed that this one had very little in the way of DIY & paint in particular, but found everything else I popped in for. Staff seemed pleasant enough, although didn't see many around, so a bit of a queue at the tills. Perhaps not the best Poundstretcher I've been to, but that's mainly as it was clearly in a transitional phase as far as stock goes, but overall, not too bad.

absolute rudeness of women on the till with glasses . never smiles very very rude and almost abusive, why is she allowed to be on the tills i dont know. i have heard her talk to staff like dirt and seen staff just pickup a drink off the shelf and start drinking it.several times a skinny boy with glasses i think is in charge doing this, i like the prices but dont like to have to ask the staff for anything. the place needs to have a complete revamp of staff as its not a nice place id say to work.

Awful place. Made up prices, suddenly reduced to 50% off. Staff literally couldn't care less, just standing around gossiping and trying to get into each other pants.! Items rung up incorrectly, charged for items you never purchased. Complain and get shrieked at by ' managers' and staff. Going bust, and it shows.. Hopefully, all the people working there end up on the dole.
