This Large store provides plenty of on site parking spaces on the front with shopping trolleys & hand baskets available by the entrance.Its nice & bright inside with spacious Isles to move around with well stocked shelfs.Theres even an outside area designated for all your gardening needs !
Staff check out service was very pleasant with payments accepted by cash or card.

It's a great store staff are friendly and very helpful. Always find new stuff that I've missed. Only go for one item and guarantee to come out with more. Its great

Range of lovely items, some things on shelves are nearly always damaged so you have to rumage to the back of the shelf to find decent ones, they could do with some more floor workers to keep shelves stocked and organised.

Loads of Christmas stock in now, trees, ornaments, gift wrap and boxes, toys, presents, food and drink gifts etc. Something for everyone and very good prices. Good variety of Halloween items too including costumes, decorations, sweets, face paints etc. Was a little untidy but looked like they had been busy. Love this store, always my go to for most things!

Home Bargains sells a great variety of stuff. Prices are generally very reasonable and they also doo good bargain items. Their Christmas selection is really good.

First time here (& last!)

Queued (with all the other shoppers) in a line, there was around 14 of us queuing, another shopper decides she'll just go in front of us all. When I advised her there is a queue, her reply was "You don't have to queue!". If that's the case, how about the shop worker/cashier telling us 14 people who are patiently queuing that we don't have to queue(???) Also how about allowing those that are queuing to be served 1st ie in time order instead of allowing one selfish person to jump in front us all... Instead she was served and I was then told (by the cashier that served the queue jumper) that we were wrong for queuing!?
I'm beginning to believe the negative reviews of this store... Rude staff, poor management and confusing layout of the cashier system.
Society wonders why some people are so selfish and don't behave like they're part of a community... They're allowed to and encouraged to get away with this behaviour.

Cheap store... For a reason.

Was shopping at Home Bargains Retford and found everything i required store very clean and tidy which plus the wide isles as well, plenty of room for customers to pass each other in ease, my credit to Home Bargains 100%

First of all. This is generally a shop that has most of your essential needs, the staff are friendly, there plenty of parking, however the reason why it has gotten a three star, and I will urge this to all the shoppers that go here. Some items are mispriced, as I once picked up a shopping bag that is worth 99p, only to almost walk out begin charged £18.99, and luckily I caught onto this before heading out the shop. Got refunded quite easily, though I felt bad for the cashier lad because he seems like he is new so I didn't want to be one of those customers that really lay into their employee. Again I was charged for a item of a hoodie that ...was not even in my basket at the time. So, I started to wonder if there is a employee there not doing there job properly and is mislabeling item barcodes. I will not change my rating upon this store till they get to the bottom of this, and as I say this to the customers just be wary of when it comes to the bill.
