Tesco Croydon CFC Distribution Centre

Waited 1.5-2 hours to be seen for a job interview with a crowd of other applicants all called in at the exact same time, even after they rescheduled to be told it will take 3 weeks to find out if I am progressing to the next stage or not. Never had such a ridiculous experience, the managers have absolutely no respect for the applicant's time. If I'm called to another interview here I won't be bothering to waste my time again, another applicant walked out and I had half a mind to do the same.

Terible drivers. I see them speeding and tailgating people and last driver was on their mobile phone, this was on sunday 31st November at 15:32. On Streatham High road. This was the 3rd time I have seen their vans speeding on this street.

My home shopping order was ordered between 3 and 4pm. It never arrived...received no updates. Phoned and was told running late 4.38pm. Still never arrived. After phoning them 3 times i was told driver couldn't find my address but for 3 hours they tried to phone him and he wouldn't answer his phone. I phoned again and was promised a call back....that never happened. I called and was told it would definitely be delivered that night. Again nothing. I asked for a refund and got a refund for delivery £4.40. On my account on app it said delivered. Clearly there is something very underhanded going on at Croydon home delivery depot. Will not be using Tescos again. Disgusted at the way they treat customers.

I don't usually leave reviews, however given my experience this morning, I need to expose the vile and rude customer service team their. Absolute ghetto and threatening behaviour. What type of company employs staff with such abhorrent behaviour abd attitudes, passing the phone around to different members of staff to threaten me that I won't receive my shopping due to my challenge of their behaviour.

Threatening customers of non delivery is a new high for Tescos. Will be writing to their Chief Executive to highlight this stores behaviour and the lack of management.

The team will be exposed as liars.

Hope the manager has the decency to call back to provide feedback!

Yesterday (28/12/2021) I placed an order with Tesco online - order # 9211-0117-851. This evening the delivery driver arrived @19.35 with my shopping. Upon arrival the driver called on the intercom. I instructed him to bring the shopping to the rear of the property (as noted on order). I opened the rear door and waited for the driver. I glanced downstairs into the car park only to see the driver, waiting downstairs with my shopping. I asked the driver if he could bring it upstairs- two flights but started motioning at the shopping as if to say I should come and collect it. I said to him could you bring my shopping upstairs please. With that he turned and walked off with the wheelie trolley and left my three crates of shopping. May I add, unattended in the car park. I was not quite sure whether he'd left or was coming back! I went to check and from my living room window I could see the driver in his van driving away. I was absolutely fuming as my shopping was left in the car park by the driver for no apparent reason and with no communication as to why. At this point I'm baffled and fuming as to why the driver conducted in this way. The shopping has and will remain in the car park until Tesco return to collect it. I am a new mother, recently given birth and under no circumstances would be able to lift any heavy shopping. Hence, the reason I opted for online shopping. This is my first and most definitely my last online shopping with Tesco. I am extremely dissatisfied with the whole experience and unfortunately would not recommend anyone shop online with Tesco due to the inefficiency, poor customer service and lack of assistance. The first customer service assistant was outwardly rude, stating I should have noted that I had just giving birth and needed help with the shopping. I was promised a callback which did not materalise. I decided to follow up with another call, this time I was connected to a very helpful assistant. I explained the situation and decided Tesco return to collect the shopping from the car park as I no longer wanted it. He arranged for the shopping in the car park to be collected and a refund be processed. Very poor Tesco!!!

Had to visit for a client. Staff were welcoming and friendly and some great benefits for those who work here. Believe they may currently be looking for delivery drivers but worth checking out online. This is a distribution centre so not your typical Tesco store where the public can shop.
