In the last few years yes it has been difficult to get an appointment or help from this practice I'll admit, but recently I've been having problems with my breathing and airways where I've been admitted to hospital for it just last month. I am a strong and fit gentleman who is also an ex serving soldier who has a history of being medically very fit.

Life story over, a woman called Donna who works reception went out of her way to help me today!I called around 11am, told her my issues and she took my details down and got me a telephone appointment later today instead of having to fight and call back at 1pm. This is what you call decency and I have now up lifted my opinion of this practice further as all they have tried to do is help me.

Donna was a saint and didn't have to do what she did but she did anyway. We need try show a more humility towards our doctors and in turn I'm sure they will do the same for us so let's start being more positive and support them.

Unbelievable service 22 in the queue 40 minuites later... never in the 27 years with my doctors has it been this hard to speak to someone about a form. Never mind the poor people trying to get an appointment to actually see someone. They are going to loose a lot of patients through this ridiculous change go back to being independent surgery's

Sad to say but it's a very poor setup and service.

The phone system is horrendous, you have to wait in queues for hours just to book an appointment - even then they don't want to see you. How are you supposed to do that when you are at work?

I had a text (multiple times) sending me for an appointment when I eventually got one, only to turn up and sit there for 30 minutes and be told that the doctor had gone home and never said anything!! I would have been left there even longer if I hadn't gone to ask at the reception what was happening... It's not the staff that are at fault (I don't think), as I'm sure they hate not being able to offer the best service, but something needs to change very quickly at Burnley Group Practice.

You have to do better.

A terrible practice. Receptionists are disgusting and rude. For some reason, you're unable to ring up one day to book an appointment for another. Doctors wrongly diagnosed my 7 month old when his eczema was infected and had a temperature of 40°C, and less then an hour after seeing the GP we were in Blackburn A&E and my child was having bloods taken, on antibiotics and on a drip. We've had to pay private multiple times due to being unable to get an appointment for other issues. AVOID AND FIND A DIFFERENT PRACTICE!!

This surgery is a disgrace. Incompetent uncompassionate dangerous and unsafe. Requires investigation into their practices. I intend to complain to the CCG (clinical commission group) who continue to fund this service. I would urge others to do the same.

So hard to get an appointment.
I've rung numerous times from 8am and 1pm and sometimes will be a queue of 20+ people, waiting for 30 minutes then the line cuts off.
If you finally manage to get through, there are no appointments left. Receptionists on the phone are very blasé.
No wonder people are diagnosed too late.

You can NEVER get an appointment. Again, on the phone for over half an hour to finally get through (and half an hour is quite good for this surgery) and be told NO appointments again!!! There is NO online facility to book an appointment either, this surgery and how they manage appointments needs to be seriously reviewed. Shocking.

Can't get through in the morning or at 1pm when they suggest to call fir appointments. And once you do get through (after waiting iver an hour sometimes) they just tell you they don't have any appointments left so call back after 1, or the next day. What a waste of time. Need to see a doctor? Just call 111, they'll sooner answer you than this place.
