Very difficult to book an appointment!!. AskmyGP is a great tool in principle, but switched off when too busy with no indication as to when it will be back online, so back to the 8am phone call lottery the following morning. Incredibly inefficient and frustrating. Only positive things to say in terms of care received after getting that elusive appointment, but this issue has been in existence since my family first registered with the practice in 2010 and has still not been addressed.

Impossible to make an appointment, my gp online is a joke & trying to get through at 8am is a challenge. So many people must just be getting on with their lives hoping they get better naturally.

Cam someone advise how anyone can get an appointment at Ramsbottom Health Centre with a GP? Eveytime I try Ask my GP it's down.. "Not accepting any Messages" can't get through on phone & when I do Can't book an appt ...try again next day..and so it goes on and on... it's a Disgrace really and this is why A&E gets overcrowded because People cannot get a GP appointment... Needs a big overhaul at Ramsbottom Health Centre...it's failing the community

10 working days trying to get an appointment. Have to camp outside doctors these days to try get an appointment. What I don't get is either the whole of ramsbottom is ill at the same time or no doctors are turning in and lazy. Book an appointment on the day only tells you "it depends if the doctors turn up" useless this one. Changing doctors today. Staff are great no problems but appointments are so horrible to get

I’ve always found the staff try and help to their best ability. They are only human and there are only so many appointments in a day, but saying that I’ve never had to wait unnecessarily to have a consultation. When I have had an appointment I’ve felt heard and referred appropriately in an efficient manner.

111 advised me to contact GP, phoned surgery no appointments and passed to pharmacist, they advised I needed antibiotics for UTI, contacted surgery and requested same but was told to call at 8am tomorrow morning or try 111. In pain and peeing every 40 to 45 mins ... don't have the words for how angry I am!!

Receptionists are very understanding and considerate - All round amazing and pleasant to talk to. Made it really easy to book appointments over the phone, couldn't ask for better. Especially considering the pandemic situation/circumstances.

The practice nurse was wonderful to deal with from both the professional side and regarding LGBT+ communication.

Re-writing as it appears my original review has been removed.
As stated on my original absolutely impossible to get through the gatekeepers that are the receptionists. I think its about time normality resumed for Dr's like it has for the rest of us instead of being made to feel like an inconvenience asking for a face to face appointment. Once you actually get through to a Dr they are helpful which makes me wonder if they are aware of the difficulties we face when trying to actually speak to one.

Can't make future appointments, get told to call back at 8am to make a same day and when you do you get told to do it online only to get a telephone appointment?? Our lives have resumed to normal working practice so why haven't the doctors surgery? How do I know when to book a day off work to go to the doctors when I don't know if I will manage to get an appointment that day?? Ridiculous.
