What a complete joke their answering system is when you want to try and book a same day appointment

I had a brilliant experience with Thornbrook surgery. I just called as I have an infection and I was told by the secretary that I would receive a call by the practitioner nurse. In about 5 minutes I received a call and was asked if I could be seen within the next 40 minutes. Unfortunately I was unable to do so as I was in work and was then asked about booking time the following day or was advised about the closest out of hours to visit and who I should speak to. Brilliant service and very caring. Well done.

Been discharged from MRI, they sent me home with antibiotics but no pain relief and because I have a fractured pelvis I couldn’t travel in to Manchester I’m my state so I phone the GP’s they told me to go online and fill in my details and my reason for an appointment, stating I desperate for pain relief because I am really struggling with just cocodamol, waited all day it’s now half 4 and worried the pharmacy are going to shut by the time a doctor gets back to me so called the surgery again and palmed me off saying a doctor will contact me. It’s getting ridiculous, I am desperate for pain relief. I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old and they are useless. Very upset.

We have had our flu jabs at the High School today. It was so organised and it only took a few minutes. It was raining and cold and the staff were so cheerful and kind. The NHS at its finest. Thankyou so much for an amazing service, again.

Lots of attitude from the reception team. I was expecting a call from the GP with no specified time. Even though I was waiting by my phone, things like daily life and work meant I missed them. I don't appreciate them making out like it's my fault. If you want your patients to answer then specify a time and respect others time.

Medical records not updated.
Had no clue I have been in palliative care in 2018 till 2019. Had to sort out an appointment with a neurosurgeon to do with severe spasticity, due to their miscommunication I am still waiting a year later. Tried booking a bloodtest and was encountered with a passive aggressive receptionist.

Absolutely shocking place. You have to beg and plead for a blood test. So I'm not going there ever again for tests. Only seen one doctor there ever. They ignore Stepping Hill's instructions about your problems and simply do not bother. I'd rather pay 100 quid for a private blood test than run the gauntlet with their rude receptionists who seem to think they are better than any doctor. As I say shocking place. If I had run my business like they run their practice I would have been bankrupt in the first month.
