They are empty but impossible to get an appointment or be seen on the day. The have this hideous system where by 8.15 all dayly appointments are given. If you lucky to get one of them, is a phone call u get from the doctor.
If you have a medical problem and need to be seen, forget it. There's always more staff than patients in the practice
How can these people be paid with our taxes to deliver such a disgraceful service?
Considering I mentioned might be sepsis thought receptionist handed extremely badly and almost like I was putting her out by calling and wanting help.
Complaining to Practice manager and will be escalating via CCG.
Extremely poor service when sepsis is a potential.
I've been trying to book an appointment for about a week now. After multiple unsuccessful calls - sometimes waiting up to 30 minutes - I finally managed to get hold of someone last Friday. Unfortunately, they couldn't book my appointment and asked me to call back again this morning at 8am.
I called at that time but had to hang up after 25 minutes in order to go to work. I tried again a few hours later. Someone finally answered the phone to tell me that they couldn't book my appointment now due to their "first come first serve" policy. Appointments are made on the day by calling when the practice opens. You cannot book for another day. I mentioned that - if everyone is being asked to call at the same time - it is very likely that I will end up having to wait for 25 minutes again. Why not book my appointment now ? The receptionist simply answered: "sometimes people wait more than that".
I am genuinely shocked by such an absurd system and poor service.
It’s basically a lottery system to get an appointment here. You have to call at exactly 8AM and if you’re lucky you get offered a telephone appointment for the day, if not, you have to call back the next day and try again.
I was lucky and got a telephone appointment last week Friday after two attempts. I spoke with the doctor and explained my condition as I have a chest infection. The doctor said that I would need to be seen in person and someone would arrange an in person appointment and an x-ray via phone call that afternoon. Come Monday nobody contacted me and I phoned into the practice, there were no notes saying a follow up appointment or X-ray was to be arranged. I was told I needed to book an appointment by calling at 8AM the following day. I phoned in and was offered a telephone appointment and someone would contact me between 1PM and 5PM, but they phoned at 12PM and since I missed the call you need to rebook again.
A medical practice operating this way is unsatisfactory and will impact the patient outcomes negatively. I understand you may be busy but if your forgetting something as simple as a referral you shouldn’t be practicing medicine as there is a very sick patient being impacted by your negligence.
All the while I am still sick and need to see a doctor! So will be changing practices in order to receive healthcare.
I made an appointment with the GP for a telephone consultation, and the GP never called me.
This is how inefficient these people are. The receptionist who told me there were no notes in my records after my medical review, gave me incorrect information. She cannot do her job right, even simple things like looking up a patient record.
This is the worst GP service and I warn you not to choose them.
To get medication, I arranged a medical review with a clinician for a Monday. The clinician gets "sick" and my review gets postponed another 3 days. Mind you, I really needed the medication as I was sick.
I have the medical review, and the clinician promised to call me back after speaking to the GP. That never happened. No call back for 4 days. Now, they tell me to arrange a telephone appointment with the GP, which I could have done a week ago.
Useless service and completely unorganized. Do NOT REGISTER HERE.
They only say to call at 8am to get face to face appointment on the day and I do. Stay on line for over 30 min and they pick up and hang up or say that they are busy and they don’t have appointments slots on the day. Absolutely unprofessional receptionist and useless. It’s a shame as doctors are good, for the only few times that I managed to speak with them, they always trying to help.
