Langley Medical Practice

My experience here so far has been very good. The receptionists were always nice and polite, and providing all the information I needed. The experience with the first doctor was not great (had my first appointment with Dr Shori who instead of doing H Pylori test straight away simply prescribed anti-acids to me, which only delayed finding the H Pylori by month and a half). I can't recommend Dr Clare Davies enough though, she is very attentive, professional, and seems to actually care about diagnosing you and getting you the best treatment. The nurse that took my blood sample was amazing (I usually faint after getting blood sample taken) but she calmed me down and was very gentle, I barely felt anything. For both tests done I got very fast test results and they are always quickly updated on patient access portal. Would recommend to a friend.

I cannot really describe how they are supportive and helpful and taking care of the patients.

Have had a number of interactions with Doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and receptionists since Easter day. Unfailing politeness, good treatment and advice. Most notably when I had a form that a Doctor had to fill out for me, not a medical emergency, which I thought I would have to wait a week or two for, was turned around almost immediately; I had an e-mail from the Practice Manager before 8:00 am today! Been going there since 1987, they have never let me down. Would recommend without hesitation.

Rude and receptionist that even tells you to stop medications when she is not qualified to do so. This is very unprofessional. My GP (who I appreciate her approach) gave me a completely different advice. You call to book a GP telephone appointment and the receptionist states that the GP doesn't give medical advice on COVID treatment and to call my private medical insurance instead.

The Doctors are great - the trouble is that it it just takes too long (min 2 weeks, it seems) to get an appointment (telephone call only). I know when i'm going to have to be seen by a doctor and when a call would suffice, so this just adds an unnecessary delay. Presumably the reception team are now medically qualified too, as they're the gatekeepers in control of whether you're deemed urgent enough for an earlier appointment. Was on hold for 2 hours to get an appointment before being promptly cut off at the 2 hour mark. Used to be great pre-covid but this level of service is not helping anyone. Some NHS surgeries have signed up to the Livi app and it would be helpful if they could too, so can be seen by GP.

I've been using this surgery since i was young . All of the doctors are thorough and understanding. The nurses and reception staff are really lovely.

I had a telephone appointment with Dr Jane Hone. She was very understanding and had helped me with multiple different issues. I had also had some bloods done and had a fainting episode and the staff where very attentive and caring. The receptionists at the surgery have also been very helpful.
