I wish I could give less than one star- I used to go to family practice in Holloway and all Gps was wonderful caring, I was under the care of Dr T BOWRY best GP I have ever met in my life, and I didn’t have to wait for two hours on the phone since the merger it is absolute shamble. I was so frustrated with a service I had to spent fortune on private while I pay a fare amount to NHS and social services from my salary every month. I have a screenshot of my phone I was on the phone for 1 hour 54 minutes at the end no one answered and that was only because I wanted to cancel a blood test so this slot can be offered to someone else as someone who work for healthcare I have I felt it is not right to not turn up for my appointment I should call and cancel. My question is if NHS start to charge for cancelation and someone like me call and want to cancel her appointment being held on the phone for nearly 2 hrs and spent ££ on this phone call how that would be justified? So many other occasions I have been sent to wrong scan , wrong information was given to me, i had infection in my test no one called me t tell me .. What a broken system, if CQC exist this practice should be investigated. I am not even sure if this practice have a right CQC registered manager as this practice is not ( safe, responsive , caring , effective - well lead in fact it is miss lead ) all standard required by CQC not exist in this practice.

Waiting times on the phone for appointments usually average 1h. Reception staff are usually very rude and keep asking you to call 111. One of the GPs here was very helpful, but I could only see him once, the rest of the times it has been just impossible to make an appointment and I have had to search care in any other way I found possible. If I would have known this in advance I would have never signed up because this is similar to having no GP at all (or even worse because of time lost trying to get an appointment).

Worst GP ever they don't pick up phone at least 45 minutes to 1 hours. Reception staff are very rude they always says no appointments available go to Hospital, only 1 Turkish very good doctor working there full credit to him he has been fantastic and very helpful, reception staff they think they are the doctors. They have failed to provide care for my children.

Was with the Family practice for a few years, I have 2 serious health conditions which were managed by the doctors there. They were amazing, I could always get an appointment and repeatedly told everyone how accessible my GP’s were.
Now they’ve merged with PPC it’s an absolute disgrace of a service!!! After waiting 1st in telephone queue for over 30 mins at 8am I was finally given an app. Was told to come in same day as it was an emergency. When I got to the surgery I checked in at reception, which was difficult enough as she didn’t seem to believe the doctor wanted to see me in person! waited there for over 1.5 HOURS! Randomly my phone rang and it was someone from the doctors back office wanting me to update my details. When I told the woman I was IN the doctors at the time and how long I’d been waiting, she went to speak to the doctor, who turns out had NO IDEA I WAS THERE. She even said to me “yeah the receptionists… awful”
HIRE SOMEONE ELSE how can a patient be made to wait like that without the doctor knowing. Even now I need to make an appointment prior to serious neurosurgery I am having I’ve been on hold for 2 HOURS and still 10 in the queue. Should be reported it’s absolutely disgraceful to treat people like this. It’s such a shame because the doctors themselves are fantastic, you just can’t get to them!!!!!!!

Today I needed to contact the receptionist for a query. I spent 45 mins on hold moving from position 4 to 2, then I hanged up because finished work and had to go home. And if I wanted to speak to a GP how long would I have had to wait??? No wonder everybody doesn't even bother contacting GPs anymore and they flood the pharmacies. How come people have to accept being treated like this but in my pharmacy they have a strop if I tell them they have to wait 15 mins for their meds??? If you want us to do your job, then give us also half of your salary!!!

The waiting time on the phone is ridiculous. Multiple times I had to wait up to 2h. Queue is moving very slowly and I’ve been “a fifth person in the queue” for nearly 30 min - how is it possible?

On the other hand, when I do get through, I actually have a different experience from what most people say. I found receptionists here to be helpful and efficient, if they say they’ll call me back they always do and multiple issues I have asked about were resolved quickly.

Medical staff is hit and miss. Nurse Asha is amazing, so is one of the male doctors (don’t know the name). The rest… mm. Either rude or come around as not competent enough (or just can’t be bothered to care).

Saying all that, if you have chest pain - call 111 or 999, not gp, I thought it is just a common sense, but apparently not.

This place is the worst practice I have ever been to. The phone call waiting takes about two hours and the receptionists are really rude. After two hours waiting they don’t even ask your details and turn the phone of saying that the doctor will give you a call tomorrow, but it never happens. I called with chest pain and the earlier appointment they found me was three days later . By this time you may die they don’t care. This is why you pay taxes for.
Last time I have been to the hospital the doctors told me to call my Gp and inform them about what happened I called them and book an appointment and never heard back from them.

Have been trying to book an appointment with the doctor. Tried the app - smear tests only.
Went into the practice. Got told by the sulky youth on Reception that there were no appointments available. That’s it. End of.
Amazing. Truly rubbish.
