I strongly recommend the Strand GP Practice. l've been a patient of this practice for two years now, and I've had some serious medical problems in this period. The service and help I've received has without exception been very good. Of course, as with all GP surgeries in our underfunded NHS, more doctors, nurses, consulting rooms, and shorter waits on the telephone would all be welcome, but the occasional complaints I have heard seem to spring from a belief that the surgery should be like a supermarket, with instant gratification and results. Well done The Strand, and thank you.

brilliant new system for booking an appointment!! The e consult form is a brilliant idea along with the phone triage system which means someone will phone you back on that day and offer you an appointment if necessary! You don’t always need to be seen in the surgery! You also don’t have to rush to ring at 8 am every morning to get an appointment freeing up spaces for people who really do! Reception Staff doctors and nurses are so friendly and helpful!

This surgery really needs to start getting its act together. Since people are able to visit A&E freely, why are you not seeing patients face to face still? This is now the third time we have called up about a medical issue for our daughter in which twice you have prescribed something for her which has not resolved the issue!

One of your triage team has spoken to my wife on the phone who claimed they could not hear her and said they would call back, they never did. After chasing a week later, we got another call and again.. claiming they could not hear her and then rudely said in the middle of explaining the problem "Sorry I cant hear you at all i'll just have to try again later" and ended the call. Quite frankly, its embarrassing, unacceptable and unprofessional

Not very professional when you have mental health needs and reception tell you to call back tomorrow or go online to make an econsultation! Also, having to explain why you need an appointment to reception is ridiculous, what's the point of having doctors if you can't speak to them!!?

Friendly surgery, doctors who genuinely care. Can be frustrating not being able to just call and be given a face to face appointment sometimes but this is more a reflection of the difficulties the NHS are facing as a whole

If you are happy to have a secretary give you medical advise instead of a doctor, the strand medical really is the place for you.
You cannot have a proper conversation with a doctor here you have to tell the receptionist your life story, they interpret it and take it to the doctor and then after 2 days bring you back an irrelevant answer. Then you ask another question to try and resolve your issue and 2 days later another "missed the point" response. This goes on and on and makes you wonder if there really are any doctors here at all or are the receptionists just using "Doctor Google" to find you an answer that might appease and fob you off! Meanwhile you could be dead waiting for an answer.
At one point the receptionist told me my blood test were clear, but weeks later in a once in a lifetime phone call from a doctor he told me "No your results were abnormal and you need further tests - a classic example of the danger of a little knowledge and some very ill applied thinking.
The receptionist are more important here than the patients. They are watchdogs keeping patients at bay! They will not let you speak to the mythical doctors.
Oh and since covid the doors are locked and no one (other than the receptionists) are allowed inside.
