My standards of GP practices since covid are very low now, and with these low standards I am very happy with the doctors I have seen here. The receptionists are rude and it is difficult to book appointments, but when you eventually see a doctor they are very good and take the time to actually listen to you and take you seriously. I have seen two different GPs and both have been very helpful and good to me. The practice itself may not be good but the doctors are great!!

This is the best doctors surgery. Staff are extremely friendly and everything is efficient & very well organised. I have had nothing but positive experiences going to Abernethy house surgery. I have been a patient there for many years and wouldn’t change for anywhere else.

Feedback on a receptionist called Angela. I've been with this surgery for over 20 years and the doctors/nurses/receptionists have been generally good. Unfortunately, the last few years, the receptionists are letting the surgery down. A receptionist called Angela was very rude towards me yesterday when I simply collecting a form for an Xray. I was sent a text by the doctor saying that the form will be ready to collect on the day I came. She shouted at me ( she made me feel like a child) and made several nasty comments as she could not find the form. It was very unnecessary to behave like this! Another patient who was standing there looked at me and rolled his eyes as to say she was out of order. I am not one of these patients who is over demanding so I felt very offended by her way of speaking to me. She should be informed that customer care should be her priority.

What has happened to this dr’s surgery? My mother has been a patient for over 20 years & never has a problem. Now, there are 2 extremely rude & unhelpful receptionists that have the most awful attitude. My mother now feels uncomfortable calling this surgery. I called on her behalf once & I was disgusted how they spoke. The answering machine greets you with “we will not tolerate rude people” yet their behaviour is dreadful. Thank goodness I’m a patient at Whitelodge. Shame on you. Sort your receptionists out!

Very impressed with the service I receive from Abernethy House. My daughter, Josie, was seen by Dr Kotecha, who was both thorough and reassuring during examination and laying out next steps. A very positive experience.

I’d rather give them a zero - the receptionists are a disgrace. So rude - go get a job not customer facing if you don’t like people. You complain and nothing gets done.

The best GP surgery I have ever been registered with. Whoever I’m speaking to, nurse, receptionist, midwife, doctor, they are always exceptionally compassionate and take the time to ensure they have every piece of information, even if it didn’t seem relevant to me, to ensure I get the right treatment. I have seen Dr Iqbal for around twenty years. He now sees my children too and he continues to provide his full attention and offer the best treatment. But I’m always happy to be seen by other doctors at the practice as none have ever let me down.
