Highland Medical Practice - Bromley Surgery

I was so apprehensive about booking my cervical screening appointment, because everytime I have attended this practice, its just always felt as if I am bothering the receptionist and the doctors, but my appointment today was with the sexual health practitioner/doctor, who was amazing. So friendly, so helpful so warm so professional. I left today feeling really informed and without any concerns; I'd even go as far as saying that the information she provided, made me feel empowered.

I am very unhappy with this GP because the receptionist of this GP do not behave properly at all. They don't allow us to speak at all when we want to ask something or have a request. They have treated me with a loud voice, violence and a very bad tone. This has not happened once, but it has happened to me several times. I called about my son's booster polio vaccine and they said that we don't have it at this center at the moment, but as soon as the vaccine is available, we will send you a message to book your appointment. Today, when I had to go there, the secretary told me that our infusion period is over, and in a very sharp tone, he did not allow me to speak. This is not true at all. Even if we don't understand what they said and we ask them to repeat it again, they speak in an angry tone. This is not fair.

Extremely rude staff. From the reception to the doctors. A doctor read back a report to me. I asked her to explain it/interpret the findings and she said she doesn't have the time. Ethically, I wonder if they are bound by the same global standards as doctors. The practice sends a message asking you to book an appointment, when you do you get one two weeks later. When the doctor calls they ask you why they are calling you. When you tell her, she reads the report to you. She doesn't interpret it.

If I could leave 0 stars I would as 1 is too much for them. I haven't seek any medical support nore I was called for yearly tests for 3 years. Unfortunately one month ago I got really sore throat, fever and spots and I am in agonising pain since then. I have tried to book an appointment 6 times at 8am sharp and by 8:10 until someone picks up there are no appointments and you can not book for the next day - have to call again 8am . Keep sending me to the emergency rooms where I have to wait from 3,5 to 7 hours to be seen. Even though my porblem is in the throat noone so far has actually took swab to see what the problem is and what antibiotics will kill this stubborn bacteria. I have been given 2 doses of penicillin and 1 of augmenting without testing me at all. After one month of treatment I am still in pain and with spots on my throat and at 8:10am they had no appointments and send me to the emergency rooms again. Absolutely useless.
I have a question - why do I have a GP and what are they paid for?

Rude receptionist. My partner phoned up to get an appointment and asked her to repeat the timing and she was responded in a very rude way.
The worst of it is this isant the first time this has happend multiple times now.
Same goes for the Doctor rushing the appoitment he cant wait to get you out of there.

Overall wouldn't recommend registering here they treat you like an inconvenience.

Think twice before you signed up with this surgery. I would give 0 starts if I could. Awful staff, very rude receptionist every single time you called.Not helpful at all. Doctors are the worst, they dont seem to know what are they doing. I have been working as a nurse +15years and I know more than they do. Horrible experiences with my babies there. I always ended in Urgent care as they never have appointments.

Very hit and miss. Receptionists are sometimes great and unfortunately more often completely unhelpful and rude. Desperate for a doctors appointment and told it’s a two week wait. No suggestions for calling early for same day appointments or other help. Will be changing GP asap

Very bad, they book appointments one time and stay here waiting 1 hour , and every problem that you seeing the doctor only one answer , it’s nothing to worry about . One doctor for everything !
