I rang the surgery at 10am as my husband had developed complications following discharge from hospital. Had a phone consultation at 3pm and face to face appt at 5pm all on the same day. The kindness and professionalism shown on this occasion was much appreciated.

If you like waiting an hour on the phone then this is the place for you!

Oh! And you can ONLY book blood tests online (You might wanna mention that on your website guys! Before someone wastes their time setting up a pointless Patient Access account)

Have recently moved into the area and signed up with this practice during the seven months here I have tried to contact the surgery by telephone on a number of occasions and to date have never once got through, which I find extremley worrying. I called again today only to get the std voice recording yet again telling me i was number four in the que, 35 minutes later i gave up, I find this so not acceptable, what would happen if it was an emergency, i dread to think.

An absolute nightmare to deal with. You get one way communications that are frankly awful, with no way to respond or query. When you need to book an appointment it is almost impossible. Routine appointments being the worst, wherein you can only book them on a Wednesday and Friday (for some random unknown reason), but there will be no appointments available. I feel for the receptionists who have to deal with really frustrated callers all because the appointments system is an utter joke. It is a terrible experience.

We have been registered with the practice for over 4 years now and have experienced nothing but an outstanding service. The staff and GP’s go out of their way to help you and nothing is too much trouble.

Someone should go to the cqc about this place! There absolutely terrible, and neglect there patients! Can never get a appointment, when you do get one the doctor does nothing and then end up in hospital due to the lack of treatment given to you! Nearly died may I add! But nothing ever improves!

We have been patients here for over 18 years, and are so grateful for all the continuing care and swift response to our health issues. This is a lovely surgery with a caring team who work tirelessly. Reception staff are all efficient in dealing with appointment requests, prescriptions etc; the pharmacy on site is excellent. All the doctors at the practice are dedicated to their profession, and do their utmost to diagnose and refer swiftly when needed. There have been some staff changes over the years with retirements etc, but the values of kindness and caring have never been compromised.
Given the current difficulties that the NHS has with an ever growing population, and elderly demographic, Hazeldene House Surgery is meeting the needs of these groups very well- given our experiences and observations. We have a real sense of being valued, and most importantly being listened to. All the staff show empathy and compassion to us, and we feel 'safe' here using the service.
The Patient Access account is really helpful to accessing notes and documents, and order repeat prescriptions too.
Thank you to all the team at Hazeldene House Surgery.

Having been asked by the practice nurse to carry out a four day blood pressure test at home and submit the results to the surgery. Today I received a text requesting me to contact the surgery for an appointment to speak to a doctor.
As I was obviously concerned to receive the text I rang straight away and got through to one of the receptionists. I explained that I received the text requesting me to phone and make an appointment to speak to a doctor about my recent blood pressure results that I had submitted to the surgery. I was given the next telephone consultation appointment of the 24th November 2021. I was not happy with regards to the appointment date as it is just under a month away and I feel that if they have taken the steps to contact me with such urgency about my blood pressure I shouldn’t have to wait a month to speak to a doctor.
I also feel that this as unnecessarily caused me stress and anxiety which I’ve now got to deal with until I can speak to them wondering what the problem may be. It was suggested that I rang on a daily basis to get an emergency telephone appointment. I feel this is is unnecessary as I will be taking up an emergency appointment when all I want is to speak to a doctor.
