Locking Hill Surgery

Locking Hill Surgery is excellent. I have had very good treatment and help with illness in the past years. Today I was treated by Sara the Nurse who was outstanding and made me feel at ease and relaxed throughout my appointment. A massive well done you are a great asset to the surgery. Harriet on Reception was very helpful in receiving me at the start of my appointment and upon leaving. I would give my experience a well deserved 5 star rating.

Made an eConsultant appointment online as advised by the website and entered all my details correctly. However, instead of contacting me on my phone number (the one I entered minutes prior), Locking Hill surgery decided to disclose the appointment time and the doctor to my mothers number, with whom I no longer live with. This seems like a completely careless mistake when handling medical data.
After having to contact my mother to find out my appointment time of 10.45 (being assured I would be rang within 30 minutes of this time) I was never phoned, and had to ring the surgery who vaguely told me to "keep my phone with me" as I may get a phone call at some point in the day. Extremely unprofessional.

I have a serious health condition that can lead to seizures, stroke or heart attack if not treated properly. I was give the wrong information by the receptionist at locking hill and prescribed the wrong medication by a GP leading me in and out of hospital 5x in a week. This has not only been traumatic for myself but also for close family and friends and has ruined plans, my time and ultimately life experiences.

I must say most of the GP's I have seen face to face have been outstanding! And some of the best I've been with however I find the receptionist I have spoke with incredibly rude.

I will be leaving the town for a while to get the proper care and treatment I need and am almost certain I will be changing my GP practice.

Covid oh that's what everything is tarred with asked to see my doctor as seen a doctor other day just to be sent back to same doctor, they are paying money out on building well spend the money on doctors and patients listen to your patients nobody wants the merge as the doors are always locked anyway. I am changing my doctors as I don't want to see junior doctors I want to see a doctor. This place they merging with is never been heard of as it was merged with another doctor surgery but they not good enough face it

The wait times for any appointments are horrendous, 2 weeks for a phone call, 3 weeks for a blood test and another 3 weeks for a face-to-face. If you are due a phone call from reception you will have to chase it up as they don't bother. They claim to be extremely busy but the practise is empty every time I have been. The GP's are fantastic, however, the practice is terribly managed.

Carpark is far too small and badly designed, if you have a low level car you will easily damage it when attempting to park due to the high pavement at the end of the angled parking bays. Almost impossible to drive out of unless you own a micro car. Horrendous considering the amount of people that visit this location each day.

Brian and me have found locking hill surgery excellent during these trying circumstances. Not just through the pandemic but from when we registered with them. Always very helpful and ready to help with concerns. We except times are changing and getting mor difficult for everyone But we feel we have always had the best care from all the Drs we have seen especially Dr Kempson with Brian Thank you very much to all Jan and Brian

I’ve always had a very good experience and care coming to locking hill surgery. I’ve never waited too long. It’s easy to contact them and speak to someone and get a timely call back from the doctor if required. All the doctors I’ve seen here are warm and empathetic and I’ve never had a cold, uncaring vibe.
