York House Medical Centre

My experience with this place is lousy. You have to wait ages in a queue. It is not practical when you work to spend so long in a phone queue. I have been really disappointed with this place and their level of service. And people wonder why A&E departments are overrun with things that should be handled by a GP.

If you are considering registering with a doctor in/near stourport, AVOID THIS ONE!

So disappointed with this surgery, to the point i have now registered elsewhere. Got to the point where if i needed to see someone i would have a list of doctors i didn't want to see because they are so useless, and most of the times i rang up to get my kids seen for something i would get fobbed off with a nurse practitioner appointment, and not a doctor. Don't always get a call back when they say you will either. Now get much better healthcare a couple of miles away, a bit further in the car but worth it!

I am so disappointed with this surgery. In fact it is very scary the way I have been treated by some of the doctors here. Over the past 6 weeks I have had some very severe symptoms- bad sweats day and night, a swollen throat, puffy cheeks and eyes, extreme pain/pressure behind my left eye, rash on forehead and shins, tremor in right hand, pain behind left knee, muscle weakness, shortness of breath to the point where I can’t even speak a sentence and I’ve lost just over 2 stone in less than 3 weeks along with other symptoms. I very rarely go to the GP’s for anything and have only been in maybe 4-5 times in the last few years. I’ve basically been told there is nothing wrong with me! I know myself and so do my family because we are all very close. There is something very wrong with me and I’m sort of a mans man and rarely get upset but this episode of my life I feel like my body is giving up on me and I’m also scared and I’ve cried my eyes out to a couple of them and I just get sent away and told there’s nothing wrong. My life feels like it’s ended I don’t have the energy to even go shopping and do normal things anymore, my quality of life is virtually gone. I’ve been bed ridden apart from going to the doctors and I always feel worse when I come out of there. Dr Heath has no empathy and to be honest a lot of the doctors there don’t either. Doctors take an oath when they get their degrees to help people no matter what. I am so heartbroken with the way I’ve been treated at this surgery it makes me so depressed that people who are ment to care for you just really don’t give a damn. I know I am very poorly but I’m getting the door closed on me. I feel alone and isolated, words can’t express the way my heart feels due to the actions of some of the doctors at this surgery. I am having my bloods done tomorrow and then I’m leaving the surgery to go somewhere else where I can get the care I’m entitled to after all I work and pay taxes so I shouldn’t be treated any different. I’m really struggling with my life right now because I’m not getting this help. I hope the doctors at York house get to read the reviews so they can see the effect they are having on other human beings. I’m crying here, so upset. Please If anyone feels the same as me consider leaving and get some proper care from doctors who took the job to be doctors and not Hippocrates. I wouldn’t even give one star to this surgery but they have a couple of good receptionists. J.

I have had a call late this evening for my poorly child. We have recieved a call back and seen with in less than hour. Great service and polite staff. My family have had to use the sevices of York medical practice quite a few times this last year and always received good care. Thank you.

The last two appointments I have had I have been left waiting for 25 minutes when I've had to go back to reception to be told on the first appointment the Doctor had gone home sick and the second time I had been sent to the wrong surgery both times I was was booked in and was not told there was a problem. Thinking of changing my doctor's

I have just moved to the surgery, I find them all very kind, easy to talk to, very understanding, my last surgery could not get my name right , sent my medication to the wrong pharmacy, I have COPD and I am not so scared and alone, 5 star's

Not helpfull ,wife sent home from Worcester Royal Hospital:(in wheelchair and back brace) told to contact York Street on Wednesday 23rd of June, for results, unable to get through, pressed 1 for a return call, NO call-back, NO FOLLOW UP !...One week later, (29th June) still no results available according to the receptionist(s)!!!! A doctor apparently will call me on 5th July NEXT Monday!!!! Nearly TWO WEEKS LATER.

Use internet for everything but trying to access the Patient Access app is like knitting fog.
Thankfully, the young lady receptionist is calm,helpful and professional. Excellent service.
