Excellent little surgery. Reception staff helpful and stellar care from GPs and medical staff.

Amazing gps at this surgery however one of the receptionist s is extremely rude over the phone and clearly doesn't want to be there. She has almost reduced me to tears the way she speaks to me and my family over the phone, as if it's my fault I am unwell etc and that I shouldn't be calling in.

She has also said numerous times in the past that she would chase a missing x-ray result up for my partner 5 or so times and on the 6th time, we managed to talk to someone else and said that there were no records or anything of the 5 times we spoke to her.

I would highly recommend choosing another surgery if you are looking for one, until this receptionist gets fired.

Had appointment with Dr dharma St doctor sharma explained everything to me before an examination and made me feel at ease. She explained everything to me in detail I felt like I had been listened to thank you for what was supposed to be unpleasant... Made me feel comfortable and at ease also very informative. A credit to your surgery. You will be an incredible GP. X

Fabulous surgery from the reception staff, to nurses, to Doctors. Having been a patient at St Mark's for years, this place is like a breath of fresh air. I can make appointments online or speak to reception and make it. I have bloods taken regularly and am straight in, job done and out. I don't need to see a Doctor often, but needed to do so today. I booked an appointment online (one night last week), arrived 12 minutes early and was called in within 2 minutes of arrival. This surgery is proactive with required tests, mammograms, smears etc and I really cannot fault them.

Left completely speechless and dismayed at attitude of one GP at this surgery. Terrible, rude, damaging way of dealing with patients.

Great reception staff but GP I saw was so rude and hostile in her attitude. Did not listen. Constantly interrupted me giving me no chance to even answer a question. Official complaint made.

I've had more than a few incidents with the receptionist at this surgery with her horrible attitude. She has not just been rude with the way she speaks to me she is also rude with a few other people. I very heard her on the phone when I've been in the waiting room to see a doctor.

I genuinely get scared now to ring my doctors just on the off chance she picks up the phone. It tend to lead towards me getting very very anxious the thought of ringing that I've not done it.

My other issue is the amount of times I've had a doctor see me and she has made me feel so small. She can be very cruel in the way she can speak to you, which has caused me to have a full blown panic attack after leaving an appointment with her in the surgery.

Plus now they that the surgery has merged, trying to get an appointment at all even a phone call consultation is impossible. Been trying for days and no luck. The receptionist told me to ring at 8am tomorrow and I'll get one. They've said that before which then made me feel even worse.

Right now I am sat at home feeling more than a little fed up and just feel like what's the point in seeking medical help if I can't even speak over the phone with a doctor or nurse. Roe Lane surgery was great when I joined there. I even signed my kids up the same surgery as we used to be under St Marks medical centre. Starting to feel like there isn't a good doctors surgery out there anywhere which is making me feel even worse.

Please Roe Lane surgery, if you read this you need to have a word with one or two of your receptionists and asked them if they want to be there. If not to let them go some place else. For the surgery itself, running out of appointments before its even 8:05am is what made St Marks so terrible. Please don't become that surgery.

I am Steve Morts wife writing on his behalf, He had an interesting and frustrating day, he was refered to Broadgreen for blood tests and an ECG, he arrived and no one had any idea of why he was there, no paperwork and he was told it was supposed to be on the system, he waited around for 3 hours, waiting for someone/ anyone to come and talk to him, he was moved from pillar to post and in disgust left, they were not busy so no excuses, when home he rang Roe lane surgery and the receptionist Sheila was amazing, not only did she chase up his paperwork, she also booked him an appt at the surgery for next week, no fuss, no drama and all done with competence, proffesionalism and humour.
Sheila is an asset to Roe Lane, i hope the doctors appreciate her, also Fluer helped me ( Hilary Mort) last week after an allergic reaction to the Covid vaccine.
Thank you to you both, it's a delight to find someone that IT'S not JUST A JOB to them, they care, thank you ladies.
