A Senior Member Staff I Encountered To My Abject Dismay Has A Serious Issue Relating To Patients. Been At This Surgery For 30+ Years , Not Considered Switching Until Now. Truly Gutted, As My Own GP IS Superb But Was Alas Unavailable. This Review Is In NO WAY A Reflection Of Him Or His Diligent Professionalism.

My husband and I have been with this surgery for more than 20 years and when we compare their service with the surgeries of relatives and friends, we realise how lucky we are. Dr Hunter is the best doctor we've ever had and given that we are in our 70's, we've had quite a few GP's. The nurses and other support staff are professional and friendly. The pharmacy runs efficiently and one kind dispenser even offered to deliver our prescriptions to our home because she lives in the same village. For all these reasons we wouldn't dream of moving house!

Always had an excellent experience with this surgery. Reception and dispensary staff always polite and helpful. My experience with our family doctor - Dr Brown - other doctors and health professionals, has been nothing but positive. Would definitely recommend this practice.

Yet again, I received efficient, friendly, professional service.
Phoned at midday, seen on time at 3.30pm.
The reception staff deserve a special mention...your patience is amazing.

Guildhall and Barrow Surgery is excellent. I have been with them for five years. They have patient named Dr allocation. Which means that you usually see your own Dr each time. This is a really important thing for continuity of care. Not all surgeries offer this. The reception and dispensary are very helpful and polite.

We have always had excellent support from this surgery, do not understand the negative reviews. We have always found the staff to be very approachable and responsive. Reception staff very helpful and empathetic when we have spoken to them, particularly at the present time when they are under such pressure. Our doctor, Dr Smye has always been excellent. No complaints from us, just appreciative thanks.

Shocking! Was stuck in a queue for an hour and a half just to even get through to a receptionist. Started as number 5 in the queue and moved to number 3 within 10 minutes...the rest of the time was going down to number 1 where I was on hold for 45mins! I hung up in the end and reckon it's about time to move surgery!
