Phone system nows seems better and holds more people; still, you had better call as close to 8.30 as possible. Recently good doctors although usual NHS re strictions, couldn't get surgery on painful umbelical hernia in NHS.. Not this surgeries fault.
...........
Not sure where the fault lies (phone system?) but after attempting to call in from phone opening time of 8:30 almost constantly till 8:39 where I get put on hold for nearly 10 minutes to be told they have no more spaces today...
A real shame as when you manage to get an appointment the doctors are usually good and staff competent if not that friendly (but considering they are dealing with the public I can't blame them!)
I'm just wondering exactly what do you have to do to get put through the phone system? A sacrifice to the phone system gods perhaps?
Needs an upgrade to hold more callers in the queue. Had I been 80 years old and very sick I'd have been extremely angry. Luckily I'm just disappointed and in discomfort..
The way the appointment system is now run is terrible, the website in mostly down, it used to close between 1 & 2pm and now it shuts when it feels like it; I was halfway through putting a prescription through the other day and it closed on me whilst I was doing it, losing all the information I had typed.
You used to be able to order your medication online, if the surgery wasn't open and now you can't.
The over management and staff really need some training, in how to speak to patients, cultural training, and mental health training.
And whilst the doctors deal politely and efficiently with the patients in my view, they should look at the reviews are being put on here and complaints in writing and consider how their staff are actually failing the practice.
Whilst as NHS patients we are grateful for free care when we aren't well, it doesn't mean we have to be mistreated by clinic staff in order to get basic essential care.
And whilst many of us have access to internet and voices that can try to stand up for the way we are spoken to, there are many people that cannot, because of ill health or age.
I really hope things improve.
Receptionist are very attentive
Doctors listen and very helpful
Go out of their way
When they say they'll call back.
They DO !
Been difficult times for all but in no way can fault their service
Highly recommended
Don't know if I'm allowed to say but 100 times better than Longcroft
We were returned to them by A&E and 111 on several occasions. Reported them to the Health Care Quality Commission to no avail.
After 2 years of not being able to access GP services, family and I moved to another local GP surgery and we now have same-day access to healthcare practitioners. Non urgent appointments from 1week of request
Each surgery gets paid for every patient on their list and I recommend moving GP surgeries if my story sounds familiar. Your health and wellbeing matters.
