Have stopped phoning between 8am and 8.30am as it is continually engaged. By the time u get through all the appointments are full. I have given up. My husband was given a note by the surgery to contact them regarding various matters. I waited 14 minutes on the telephone . Because I was aggrieved at waiting so long the receptionist said I was rude. I was not. Just adamant and fed up regarding the not fit for purpose this surgery has become.

£13.80 it cost to make an appointment. Call charge from my landline to 20561808 (surgery). On hold for 2hrs and 4 sec`s. Emailed surgery with all Sky bill detail`s and 4 weeks later no response. Arrogant or busy? They haven't said!

Pity you can’t leave a zero rating, this surgery is an absolute joke. Trying to get an appointment is impossible they run the lottery system of phoning 8am then 1.45pm on hold for ages just to be told all appointments have gone. What has happened to the tried and tested system of just being able to book an appointment?? Whoever manages this surgery needs to take a long hard look at the reviews they have received and take some action!!!

They are good doctors. Just bever can get appointment. Then when u ring up they say all gone that's the down part of them

1 hour 20 minutes on hold two days in a row and they run out of telephone appointments, all I want is a blood test which a nurse deals with but I have to go through a doctor(?). Been told to call up again and again. Disgusting surgery, people will die before they’re seen here. Do better! This is peoples health not a clothing store.

Edit: after calling today 28/11/22 during an asthama attack I was told to call back at 1:45pm (over a hour later), I am without an inhaler and was calling for a replacement only ... Guess I'll just die then... Shocking surgery, needs investigating by Cardiff Council

Worst gp ive been with. Impossible to get an appointment regardless how much you call and receptionists are really rude

Receptionists as like most gp receptionists need a course in customer service!!!! Clearly dont know how to speak to patients. The doctors and nurses are fab!!! That is if your're lucky to get an appointment. Waiting for years on the phone to try and get and appointment and then to be told theyre all gone how suprising!!!!! Or as nowadays phone call doesnt even go through they just took it another step lol joke of a practice if people weren't desperate you wouldn't be practising. Sort out the practise!!!!! Please ps i had no choice to put no stars so i guess theyre lucky to get that 1 star otherwise would be a zero minus if i could.

Yes times have been difficult since the pandemic but in my experience, patients don’t do enough to help themselves.
Feeling unwell? The general reaction is to phone for an appointment with the doctor, when a call at the pharmacist (chemist in the good old days) will more often than not produce the required outcome. The only difference here is that you have to pay for over the counter medications.
I have always followed this mantra and if no better after the time specified by the pharmacist, I have usually been able to make an appointment.
The treatment I have received from the practice (originally housed on the Cowbridge Road) has been first class.
Despite the mess our NHS currently finds itself in, we are still much better off than other countries where they will want to see your credit card etc before they’ll even treat you.
