Danescourt Surgery

I have nothing but praise for this practice, in particular, Dr Richards.
He has been exceptional in his approach to my particular health problems despite the difficulties of covid.

All I can say is thank you to everyone there.

Awful since pointless merger. I had a c diff infection and needed antibiotics. Called and spoke to receptionist who siad i would get a call back from doc. No call came at all. Totally not acceptable. I am going ro change surgeries as many have

Moved here in late 2021 from Llandaff Surgery and it’s been a shower of S**T ever since. Firstly the poor administration staff losing our newest born child’s application form. Registering us to the Caerua surgery, not Danescourt. Useless health visitor who was rude, disrespectful and invasive.

But worst of all is the reception staff who treat the surgery like their own little empire. Requested a call back for my 6 month old daughter (as they don’t feel it’s important enough to just give appointments for ill baby’s) missed the call back from the doctor, returned the call without 30 seconds to be told he will call me back.

Doctor called me back an hour later when I was on the phone to a client. Went to voicemail where the doctor left a message asking me to call him back. 1-2 mins later I call the surgery trying to speak to the doctor, only to be told it’s their policy to refuse me and appointment as I’ve missed two call backs.

Call at 0830, User Busy, press redial 7 times and have the same problem, get through on the 9th try. Phone rings for 5+ minutes before someone picks up. They say to expect a callback from a doctor. Doctor calls back seven hours later and does everything without seeing you. Receptionists are rude and superior, and coming from a British Person, that should be a damning condemnation.

The receptionists at this surgery are so rude it is shocking. There has not been a single time that I've needed to go to the surgery in which I have a pleasant interaction with them. They literally make me not want to come to the surgery when something is wrong. The system at the surgery itself for being seen by a GP is such a mess, by the time they are able to make an appointment it is weeks after the issue. You are not even able to have choice of which doctor to see. Even the pharmacists next door agree the receptionists at the surgery are appalling. Would not recommend this surgery to anyone.

My wife was told her results were normal . Then called up spoke to another doctor because something didn’t feel right and was told her results were not normal and there were issues.

I myself called up to check on my result from examination in the Heath to be told “ I don’t know what these results mean google it “ absolutely useless I will be leaving this surgery as soon as possible. They don’t care

The receptionist was extremely rude, she would not listen to my explanation and walked away from me while I was still talking. Been there asking for some simple forms to fill, all she gave was all kinds of excuses. You could literally feel that she did not care about you, all she wanted was you walk away.
