I've been with this surgery since I was a baby with one move in between, today, during covid times, I cannot fault the service, the speed they saw my son and the swift reaction to his symptoms - they ensured his safety, dignity and made him feel at home, despite the fact he was being sick in the lift, it turned out he did have appendicitis and their actions enabled a swift review and result. Thank you so much to the staff for their support, understanding and help, they went above and beyond with helping me and my son, they offered assistance I hadn't even thought of and it was extremely appreciated. Thank you to all the staff

Have been registered at St Is an since Nov 2019 and I've found it so refreshing. ALL of the staff I've interacted with have been wonderful, supportive and helpful. The GPs (I'm awful with names but have seen 2 different doctors in person prior to COVID) really take time to listen.

Since COVID restrictions, I have found the online call-back service to be very clear, easy to use and each time I needed to use it have been called back within 24 hours.

A huge THANK YOU to all staff at the surgery, working under diffi ult circumstances and still providing a fantastic service.

This is getting beyond a joke now, 5 mornings I’ve rang up at 8.30 like I’ve been told too and waited in queues of 30+ people for well over half an hour and every time I get through I’m told all appointments are gone and there’s nothing they can do, they’re not even booking routine appointments

Covid is over now so don’t understand why surgeries aren’t back to normal!
Things were so much easier when they used the e-consult and doctors could get back to you

I honestly don’t feel this practice cares about their patients

I would really appreciate it if there was a way of requesting appointments through email, or if there was a way of asking their system to call back, both of these would avoid us having to wait for long to get through, hoping the review will trigger a rethink :-(

Dr Matt Jones is to be highly recommended. He is extremely thorough, has a great "bedside" manner and is happy to give you as much time as needed, obviously within reason and the confines of an extremely busy surgery. His knowledge was excellent and advice totally taken on board. Thank you.

I’ve been with this surgery from birth (nearly 40 years) and I’ve decided to change and register elsewhere now. It’s very difficult to see a doctor and even become a challenge to get a telephone appointment these days. Sadly I don’t think they have to staff to deal with patients anymore and lumping more and more on the receptionists.

This morning i had an appointment at 9.00 for my daughter to have bloods taken, We arrived at 9.04. We waited for the receptionist to finish her call which took the time to 9.07. We were told that we were too late to be seen.
The receptionist went to see if we could be accommodated . The answer was No.The receptionist claimed our appointment was 8.55 and therefore we were over 10 minutes late which , when i returned home to check the appointment slip was incorrect as it had been written down for 9.00 and we were therefore only 4 minutes late. This was the 4th time we had attended for the same bloods. Previously we had been given the wrong date, on the second occasion the person who was due to take the bloods did not turn up and when we did get them taken on the third occasion we now needed more which is why we were there this morning . I therefore assume that St. Isan Road surgery runs such a tight ship that all patience can insist to being seen within 4 minutes of their appointment. I only hope that the concern that the doctor had which promoted another set of bloods does not prove critical for my daughter . I am absolutely disgusted with this level of service (?)

Absolutely tops. Called 8.30am doctor phoned back an hour later. Got appointment for 8.30am following morning. Dr Williams excellent. Listened, examined, prescribed. Completely unrushed. No waiting. Even the receptionist was pleasant. First time I've been in years. Excellent service. Considered private GP but even with our benenden insurance it would have been phone call next day. Other private GPs £120 a shot and no appointments for a week. Very pleased. In the current situation I expected it to be difficult to get an appointment but no. Been with this practice since before I was born and they were in heathwood road.
