Andrew
Most recently service has been excellent and the youngest has had very good service from the GP.
Never been patient myself but children etc have.
Small enough that you feel you can develop a relationship with staff but with enough diversity of staff you can find someone who really gets the area of medicine you need.
And the waiting room has the most sunning ceiling, which might be worth being patient on its own.
The main floor is pretty accessible given the ramp outside but you gotta get to that area first. Pavement outside isn't the best and the parking lot is possibly the best route but mean camber on that. Pretty much outside control of practice and not too bad if you drive. Downstairs is a tight stairway and not great accesswise. The toilet upstairs is large though so a plus in terms of accessibility.
A few years ago it had bad reputation for transgender care within the trans community but they seem to be working hard to change that and the local area didn't have any other practices that were recommended and some to definitely avoid. I get the sense they have improved a lot, and hopefully the Trans community keeps an updated list of good practices and those to avoid, so worth checking that area out if it applies to you as a patient.
The GPs I've seen the most often with my family have been absolutely amazing and in the past I did think about changing practice to them. Although my GP is still a different practice if I needed to change this would be high in list if places to look.
EDIT:
7 months later, phone still doesn’t ring. Can’t get through at all. Unbelievable
Efficient in seeing patients, attentive to patient needs and care
Now it's by far the worst surgery around.
From constant prescription errors to appointments being made for months later if you even manage to get one.
Everyone else I know in different surgeries can't believe the difference between them.
Even during the pandemic the staff have remained easy to talk to and understanding.
