Brilliant service, very enthusiastic and open minded Doctors and short waiting times. I had been under other surgeries, so I really noticed the difference upon joining Eglwys Bach. Everything is first class from the comfortable waiting rooms, prompt appointment times when required, and I've always been seen within ten minutes of my appointment time. When joining I was given a leaflet informing me of which Doctors specialist or have interests in which fields. Having used other surgeries in Pontypridd area I can honesty say that this surgery puts them to shame. Even the receptionist is not behind some bullet proof glass so you wont feel like you've walked in to communist Russia each time you visit the Doctors.

Surprisingly large practice. In the past I've had great and not so great experiences with this practice.
Most recently service has been excellent and the youngest has had very good service from the GP.
Never been patient myself but children etc have.
Small enough that you feel you can develop a relationship with staff but with enough diversity of staff you can find someone who really gets the area of medicine you need.
And the waiting room has the most sunning ceiling, which might be worth being patient on its own.
The main floor is pretty accessible given the ramp outside but you gotta get to that area first. Pavement outside isn't the best and the parking lot is possibly the best route but mean camber on that. Pretty much outside control of practice and not too bad if you drive. Downstairs is a tight stairway and not great accesswise. The toilet upstairs is large though so a plus in terms of accessibility.
A few years ago it had bad reputation for transgender care within the trans community but they seem to be working hard to change that and the local area didn't have any other practices that were recommended and some to definitely avoid. I get the sense they have improved a lot, and hopefully the Trans community keeps an updated list of good practices and those to avoid, so worth checking that area out if it applies to you as a patient.
The GPs I've seen the most often with my family have been absolutely amazing and in the past I did think about changing practice to them. Although my GP is still a different practice if I needed to change this would be high in list if places to look.

Had a text message to call and book a review of medication. When I phone I goes dead and doesn't even ring. This place is beyond. Can never seem to get an answer on the phone.
EDIT:
7 months later, phone still doesn’t ring. Can’t get through at all. Unbelievable

Been with this practice since I was 5 years old and it has always been amazing until covid happened.
Now it's by far the worst surgery around.
From constant prescription errors to appointments being made for months later if you even manage to get one.
Everyone else I know in different surgeries can't believe the difference between them.

I am 69 years old a retired person I rung In the morning to the resepsion. Explained that I need to see the Gp. Lady asked me if I am registered. I told her I am not then she replied me I need to register first. I had my passport and driving licence but I did not ask what needed to register. I went to register. She passed me a form to fill in. But I did not know my previous registered Gp number, because my previous Gp sent me a letter over 7+years ago telling she has going to retired and I believe building is shut down. That Gp only half mile away to this Gp So since then I never been seeing any Gp and I couldn't find the registered number. But I show the reception lady my NHS number sent to me for the latest vaccination appointment date afew weeks ago and my audiology appointments documents from my mobile . She dismissed that. She did not check my passport. So I had to leave the building. I came back home I see on government site telling no need to Pfoof address or Id's. Anyone can register. I couldn't. Sadly not the first time My own conclusion ; Probably reception lady only happy to register wellsh people. So I am still looking for a Gp near me to register for my helt. I have been in the same address over 35 years my own house.

I love this surgery, the staff are very attentive and easy to talk to. The doctors listen to you and if they don't know how to help they know who to refer you to.

Even during the pandemic the staff have remained easy to talk to and understanding.
