I have just transferred to this practise. The first receptionist I approached was a little rude (she spent a good minute composing a text message before lifting her head to knowledge me) but the other lady was great and very helpful. The Dr I saw was brilliant (Dr Frost), I can honestly say that he is one of the nicest Dr's I have ever spoken to, the nurse I saw was also lovely. Booking appointments and obtaining results have been a breeze compared to my previous surgery experience. I would recommend.

I have been a patient here all my life; receptionist staff seem to always do their best to fit you in if possible. There are new Doctors registered at the practice, they seem very pleasant and efficient.I think sometimes help works both ways:if you are unable to make an appointment, cancel it if possible.I noticed on one of my visits that for one month alone, there were fifty missed appointments!
Speaking from personal experience,in regards to family, you may be the one who really needs that appointment.Sometimes good karma is a mutual process.!

Changed from Riversdale Surgery because Riversdale had NO way of making an appointment for deaf patients, and dreadful receptionists. Unhelpful, non caring attitude. Newcastle has a txt service for hard of hearing. Since being with Newcastle surgery, I have had exceptional service and understanding from receptionist, nurses and all a Doctors that I have seen. Cannot fault in anyway. Although the joining with Ashfield maybe not a good idea. Joy

This is beyond a joke, called this morning and they're not doing appointments over the phone. Do an e consult instead, right but then you put all the details in and it comes back with contact your surgery immediately!! Ehat a laugh eh, I then did it again and it said seek other help. How can I when I need antibiotics for tonsillitis, there's no other cure!

This surgery badly needs a queue system for the phones. Was trying to get through all morning to get my poorly daughter an appointment and was constantly cut off with ‘user busy’. E consult was saying due to my daughters symptoms it couldn’t help and needed to ring GP practice, I went in and they just give me a paper form to fill out and said a doctor would call

Avoid this GP surgery, they are slow and passive. I get the impression that they dont really care but want to get rid of you as fast as possible. I kept reporting troublesome symptoms that were pretty much ignored. My health problems have progressed as they were not dealth with promptly as they should have been. Shame on the people who work here.

After relocating last dec, I am really struggling to get hold of these doctors. I have been trying to get in contact most days for about 2 weeks, and in the morning the line is constantly busy. I don't see another way to get in contact with the surgery, and the few times I've actually gotten through I've been told its too late in the day for an appointment and they can't make an appointment because of power cuts. Really sad to be writing this but not sure what else I can do ?
