Good doctors

Reception staff are so unhelpful whenever I’ve had a query about clinic times, answering with “think so/maybes” would be more helpful if they would find out rather than guess. After going to an appointment with a doctor concerned with pregnancy symptoms (1st pregnancy) I was given a swab test to do myself, no examination, and then told to wait for results, in the meantime I ended up in premature labour. During that appointment the doctor spoke over me and didn’t let me finish explaining what was wrong. I’d rather not go to the doctors than make an appointment if something was wrong. Definitely will be changing surgeries.

It seems to be impossible to actually see a doctor here! After going through all the recorded messages if you finally get through to a receptionist you are asked to go into quite some detail what your problem is? This is a receptionist after all! I don't feel comfortable discussing my medical conditions with a receptionist. You are then asked to send a photo of your ailment via email before they assess whether you are worthy of a consultation with an actual doctor, if you are lucky you may get a phone call from the doctor themselves, In my case the doctor and receptionist discussed my condition and decided I couldn't see anyone. Honestly I think it would be easier to get an audience with the pope than see a doctor here, and they wonder why A+E is full. I am changing surgeries as soon as possible.

My experience with this surgery has been desperately awful. Covid hasn't helped of course, but since registering with the practice two years ago I've never managed to be seen by a doctor there. The automated system is a long, miserable string of negative commentary: i.e. "we don't do this, we don't provide that, go elsewhere for this and that", etc, it is the most horrible, soul destroying process of trying to get support. It's probably intended to be helpful, but it's depressing. Then the reception staff are rude, challenging and unhelpful beyond all hope. All they EVER tell me is how they can't help me. This is "my surgery" but I find I'm ringing them as an absolute last resort because they make it so hard to get help. It's not how things should be. The place is a disgrace. I hate it.
