Llangennech Surgery

Dr Rafique is possibly one of the worst dr's, that iv had the the displeasure of dealing with. His attitude towards elderly patients is ship them off to nursing homes, how is this man aloud to practice medicine? he dishes out prescriptions without seeing patients which if I'm not mistaken is gross misconduct. He does not have a caring bone in his body, how did this man qualify to be a GP? He should be struck off and never be allowed to practice medicine again. Disgusting human being.

I didn't read the reviews before I was about to join this surgery but having spoken with the female receptionist regarding joining the practice. I have been totally put off and glad to have read the reviews as I was thinking it was me! But so rude. What is it with female receptionists almost every surgery I have joined due to moving around a lot has such Rude and only female receptionists, who are also very nosy. I personally as a female think that, it is about time they changed all the receptionists to Males!!

Reception desk has no time at all, very rude!! I have been asking for the results of bloods and about collecting my medication following an operation. I’m not able to walk as far as the surgery so I must call.

I’ve been fobbed of with the message that they can only tell me between 1200-1400hrs only thing is it’s been 3 days and I’ve not been able to get through.

Pure negative attitude!

Terrible surgery Dr Rafique is ignorant is attitude stinks he did squeeze me in for Medical which I needed for dvla bus license all because I was paying him cash it suited him because he saw ££££££ the cash awful ,always problems with repeat prescriptions,after 34 years I left the surgery now in Llwynhendy for 15 months not problems I get called in to check my blood pressure etc can’t fault the staff are pleasant

Very concerning. I visited the surgery and, thankfully, saw a dispensing pharmacist, who actually cared about my health. In my opinion, the Drs are self-absorbed and are not interested in their patients as they appear to have pre-empted what they think is wrong with you. They appear to be disinterested in your explanation of your health concerns.

The pharmacist booked me in to the COPD clinic the surgery for the 30th of this month . Unfortunately, I was recently ambulanced to the local Hospital, diagnosed with COPD and my treatment is in their hands. Therefore, I felt I needed to cancel my appointment, as a matter of courtesy, I felt honour bound to contact the Surgery. I needn't have bothered, as there was no record of my appointment at the surgery. This is very concerning to me, as I was relying on this appointment, due my health becoming more debilitating. In a way I was lucky that my health did take a nose dive and the hospital treated me. Otherwise, I would have turned up at the surgery on the 30th, presumably been turned away, with my health becoming considerably worse. Having, yet again to wait for another appointment. I do not appreciate the inefficiency shown, especially as I believe, health is wealth.

I am seriously considering leaving this practice, as this is not the first time I have had problem with my health care from here. I have only stayed, in the main, because Denise, the Nurse, is still here and she is part of the old understanding regime.

Dr Rafique is superb, I have no complaints about him. BUT be prepared to leave their surgery upset with how you are treated and embarrassed by the receptionist staff there! Genuinely, they will stand in a group and discuss you rudely in-front of everyone and loud enough for you to hear in loud whispers from the other side of the room. They are patronising, unprofessional and rude! Today will be the last day I will enter that surgery as now I will register elsewhere. LADIES: they will embarrass you about having a smear, mess you around and give you wrong appointment dates etc I have been waiting since November for mine!
They have a policy not to abuse staff but read the comments and you'll read nothing else other than patients being abused.

Iv been with this GP surgery for 2 years and must say that DR Rafique saved me my last surgery was too busy and couldn’t b bothered about my menapause and I had a very bad time but I’m he reception staff and practice manager made sure I was dealt with, with compation and I had the correct treatment

Much improved now that one can actually see a Dr!
