The classes are small and extremely fun, the location is convenient to public transport and most of all the teachers are amazing. Bruce and Veronica are very encouraging, patient and I have learnt so much from both of them.
A excellent school for people who are looking to get into acting, or to perfect their craft!
"Consider getting rid of the idea that acting is hard - take a mature approach. Work construction, rhythm, dynamics & power. You will create." Bruce Alexander
The hands on teaching of Bruce Alexander is one of the main reasons I keep continuing on with Melbourne Acting Studio London. He's teaching style is very personalised and I always walk away feeling like he has really offered me vital information, direction and feedback on my own acting and skill level. Even though they are group classes, i always feel like i've had a private coaching session with him and that i'm empowered to improve and extend my own acting rather than sitting in the dark regarding 'where I am at'.
I highly recommend Melbourne Acting Studio London to all actors of all skill levels. You will learn more about yourself and your acting than you could have imagined.
Bruce done a lot of work with me exploring the character i was portraying, step by step with each lesson i was able to feel confident with the piece and be able to experiment with it. I learnt to enjoy performing it rather than being scared and feeling overwhelmed.
Since my lessons i have had great feedback from my piece and have gained a place on a 2 year musical theatre course and currently waiting result on another.
Also in my lessons i happened to mention to Bruce i was unsuccessful with most of my auditions for work in the industry, he got me to perform a song and dance in my lesson, he gave me feedback on my performance and very constructive criticism. Following his feedback on the same day i attended an audition which went extremely well and i now plan to be working abroad for the summer season!
I am so happy to have had lessons with Bruce he is such a fantastic and very passionate teacher. He definitely knows his stuff and i cant wait to have more lessons in the future!
Would most definitely recommend!
It's not easy to find a place to study acting, but I mean an ongoing learning experience (not a workshop), when you need to work full-time. But I have. Your term doesn't have to end after 8 weeks. You can keep learning and learning. It's what I'm doing and I'm having a lot of fun.
