YPS of Acting | Acting for Ages 10 - 18

This school is fantastic for children and young adults who are serious about acting. The YPS founder, Lily is full of energy and enthusiasm and has a highly professional but friendly approach. Both my children have loved taking part in her classes - in person and online - and have gained confidence as well as new skills. Highly recommended.

YPS is a fabulous acting school. After looking for sooooo long for a school that would encourage my son with his love of drama, but without the added pressure of dance and singing, I was so grateful to find Lily’s classes. He really enjoys meeting up with the other participants each week and the ongoing communication from Lily is outstanding.

My daughter was never interested in doing drama. One day YPS visited her school and out of the blue she asked to audition to go to their classes. She absolutely loves it and her confidence is growing all the time

My daughter is in her second term at the Surrey school and she loves her Thursday evenings at YPS. Her skills and confidence have really grown and she’s made some great friends.

I was scared to join because I didn’t know anyone but everyone made me feel welcome and I look forward to classes every week. I’ve learnt so many skills and I’ve become more confident in myself. I’ve used lots of things I’ve learnt in lessons out of lessons in day to day life and in other drama classes like my school drama. I would definitely recommend for those looking for classes or wanting to join the industry as we’ve met lots of the industry and done classes with them. I discovered the classes through school when lily came in and I will be forever grateful.

As a student it is a great class and every class is different. The skills I have learnt are great for the industry and will help if you want to pursue acting. Would recommend

I enrolled my girls in YPS for the acting classes and they also took part in the Accent Masterclass later on. Various professionals were brought in through the duration of the term to work with the children also and I can honestly say that my daughters acting skills have improved tremendously, I’ve watched them grow in confidence and they’re at a point in their lives where they feel they can actually take on any role.
Lily is such a treasure. You can tell that she has a genuine passion for what she does and as such is heavily invested in each cild, this is evident in the way she lovingly encourages them to put in their best in order to reach their full potential. I’d recommend anyone who has a child that is interested in acting to enroll them at YPS.
Location is not a deterrent as there are online classes (which my girls were a part of).
Oh, I have to mention this…the montage sent to the parents at the end of the term was amazing! I felt like I was seeing my girls in a movie :)

The YPS of Acting is the best experience of my acting career so far! We covered different aspects of Acting with various different professionals including casting director Jeremy Zimmerman, actor and writer Alexander Tol and more! Lily is a brilliant, enthusiastic and passionate teacher who is skilled and specialised in working with kids and teens. With her as the main teacher and coordinator, the classes were fun and energetic. I’ve learned and improved my skills tremendously thanks to YPS and I recommend to anyone who is interested in acting starting at a young age.
