I’ve been going to Meladrama since I was 17. I’ve just turned 25 and couldn’t imagine not having the drama group in my life. Mel is such a fantastic teacher who cares so deeply about the children and teenagers in her classes.. plus she’s super talented herself!

When I started I was so anxious and had been told by numerous teachers in the past that I was far too quiet to ever be an actress. Fair to say within a few months (I actually think it was by the end of the two week line!) I was up on stage performing to my family and got such a confidence boost from it. Confidence is so important for everyone, not just actors. This drama school isn’t only for the ones who dream of being on the tv screens. It’s also for the ones who shy away from meeting new people or the quietest kids in the back of the class who need that little boost. Trust me, you won’t go wrong sending your children here. The adult group is here for you too!

My daughter started Meladrama in September and is loving every minute of it. Her confidence is booming which has been noticed by family, friends and teachers at her school. She gets on with everyone in her class, no-one is left feeling out of place. Everyone is made to feel welcome from the moment they enter the class. She won ‘The Rising Star’ award at Christmas for her progress since starting. Thankyou Mel & Faye for being such great teachers, keep up the good work xx

My daughter has been going just a short while but I am so impressed. She had her first Christmas performance and I could not believe the confidence. She is only 6 and she was fully acting on stage. To be honest I was blown away by all the children who performed. They were all fantastic. It’s like a little family and you can just tell the children are having so much fun but learning and growing in so many ways. I’m so grateful we found such an amazing drama school. It was recommended by a friend and I would now certainly recommend to anyone.

My daughter has been part of the Meladrama family for 8 years and absolutely loves it. Meladrama offers children a wide range of drama related experience depending on what the child wants to achieve. My daughters confidence has gone from strength to strength with support from the Meladrana team. I would definitely recommend Meladrama for children who want to gain drama experience or need to build confidence/resilience skills or simply want to have fun, meet new friends and be part of a lovely drama family.

Absolutely brilliant drama school. Mel really gives it her all and she has so much industry knowledge! Couldn’t believe I recognised her from the tv! It’s really good to have an excellent drama school in the north as there are so few. My son really enjoys it. See photo of him getting a medal at his first show!

My Daughter has been at Meladrama Acting School now for a few months and absolutely loves it. Her confidence is flowing since joining these classes. Mel and Faye are absolutely brilliant! She started at the age of 4 and has flourished all thanks to these Ladies, honestly no better Acting School to send your Child to. They have fun, make new friends and learn so much not only for a potential future in Acting but also lessons for life.

Fabulous acting school! I attended classes my self from an early age up till I was 17 and now my little boy goes...he's just done his 1st show with Mel and I was blown away with just how confident he was at only 4 years old. Meladrama is a family run business and they put the kids wellbeing 1st it's so refreshing. He always comes away from classes with a massive smile on his face.

What can I say? My son started Meladrama at the age of 12 and stayed until he was 18 and went to University; to study film and theatre (of course!) The teaching and support shown by the staff there is exemplary as they really go ‘above and beyond’ for their pupils. Mel is still on hand with support and advice for Alistair regarding his acting. He has been involved in two short films, one received a BAFTA! He’s also already had a television appearance and there’s another one in the pipeline. He really could not have done any of this without Meladrama. I highly recommend this drama school. I’m sure Alistair will be back as soon as he can.
