I would like to completely counter the two previous reviewers by saying that, as a current student of PPA, I have never been happier. The training is second to none, we are in from 8am-5:30pm every single day working as hard as we can and receiving the most up to date, professional training in all aspects of the arts. The course is worth every penny.

And as for our Principal/Pastoral care.... WELL, for starters my parents have been in contact with the college principal countless times to thank her for the smile on my face and new found confidence. She knows every single students name. Says hello and asks us how we are whenever she sees us. Pastorally, as part of the new degree all students have a mentor who we meet with 3 times a year to privately discuss how we are, where we are with our progress and what we might need from the college to help us. If you can name me any other drama school that does this I'll be amazed.

I can honestly say this place is special. We are an absolute family. A family made up of some of the most talented people I've ever met. If anyone is of any doubt, please take a look at the PPA twitter feed (specifically it's mentions) to reassure you.

I've recently finished my first year of training on the BA in musical theatre and I have to say it's been one of the best years of my life. The training I've received this year has taught me innumerable, valuable things that are helping my peers and I get gradually closer to the career we're striving for. The staff are all experienced in the industry themselves, meaning they are full of knowledge and expertise that will help us survive and thrive in a competitive industry. There is a family ethos in PPA that I highly doubt you would find at any other drama school. Cannot wait for what the next 2 years entail!

PPA is by far one of the best Performing Arts colleges, for both Musical Theatre and Acting!! I am very proud to say that I am a student here. I completed my Foundation course in June this year and I am embarking upon my 3 year BA(Hons) in Musical Theatre course from next month.

I decided to stay at PPA to continue my training as it's a very supportive, family-orientated college who cater to your every need! ALL the staff are friendly and welcoming who push you and challenge you to reach your full potential and give you endless advice on how to fully develop your skills in all 3 disciplines. All of the teaching staff are either current or ex-industry professionals, which gives us a true insight into what the industry currently is/what it was and what we will expect once we've graduated. Louise and Costa (the principal and vice principal) are so organised with ensuring we have everything we possibly need to ensuring we have the best training we can get and we are all so thankful for that! The amount of extra hours they put in amazes me! They honestly care for us all so so much and it's so lovely to know they will go above and beyond to ensure we get the most out of our training! ALL the staff know each and every single students name, which is very nice as they get to know you on a personal level and you feel like you're wanted, most of the other drama schools forget this is a HUGE part to a students development, feeling welcomed! So, I love that PPA makes a big deal out of getting to know everyone, so that no one feels left out or alone.

I am eternally grateful for the training I've received at PPA up to now, and I am so looking forward to the next 3 years! All I'm saying is that if you are thinking of auditioning here, then DO IT!! You'll have the best 3 or maybe even 4 years of your life!

I've been a ppa student for the past year and am going into my second year! I am from a tiny town in Wales and PPA's reputation has exceeded itself! It is a fantastic drama college with so many opportunities for aspiring performers! All of its staff are supportive, both sympathetic and empathetic and look at all students as individuals with talents and not as bank notes like most do these day! It is a wonderful institution and I am blessed to be a part of such an amazing dramatic family!! Easily 5 stars.

I'm currently going into my second year at PPA and there's no where I'd rather be! The amount of love and support for every single student from every other fellow student and member of staff is unconditional and there is always someone to talk to! Every single person is treated as equally as the next and that creates such a wonderful, positive, growing environment for every person that walks into the building! I've loved every second of my intense, full-time, professional training and I know that once I leave I will be a much better person because of this place!

As a current acting student at PPA I can say that the mentors employed are so lovely and supportive and are easy to express your opinions and concerns to. I really feel that the mentors and principal have put in so much effort to ensure that both the acting students and musical theatre students feel both valued and that we have our own space to learn. I'm excited to see where this college could be in a few years time because the potential, and the talent of the students, is so great.

The past three years at PPA have been the best of my life. It was my first time living away from home but from the first day all of the staff were welcoming, friendly and caring. Training at PPA has given me so many opportunities to further myself in this career through acting, singing and musicianship and in my life as a person. I learned so much from being a student here, the most important lesson being that you should always be yourself because that is the best part about you. PPA gave me the care and support to find out who I was as a performer and as a person. PPA was a better college than I could ever have hoped for and from being here I have gained a family that I never knew I needed.

where do I start! i am now a second year musical theatre student and I can easily say that coming to this school was the best decision I have ever made. This college is one big family and the pastoral care is second to none, there is an amazing relationship between students and staff and you really do feel cared for. Through the last 2 years of being at the college my confidence has grown and my skills in all areas have greatly improved.

PPA really is the place to be
