Brilliant service as always, have used many times for alterations and mending, always so impressed by the accuracy and great quality of the work. The last piece I brought to have altered was a particularly challenging alteration but they were so obliging and helpful when many others probably wouldn't have taken on the project! Many thanks for transforming and mending so many of our clothes.

Chris Dry Cleaners is my local, and they've always done a great job. Most recently, I took my puffer jacket there. It had a stain that didn't come out with their regular dry cleaning, so they offered to treat it again separately with a different machine, for free! The stain is almost imperceptible now. Cheerful and quick service as well :)

I brought in my sneakers to get the counter lining patched up. I paid £16 and expected a professional job, extending the life of my shoes. I couldn’t believe it when I picked them up. My sneakers are white and they glued a blue material patch on top. The patch doesn’t match my shoe colour at all and protrudes quite so you can see it from the back when I’m wearing the shoes. I told them I expected them to stitch the patch as well and they said no it’ll hold. It’s been 4 weeks now and I can see it ripping off and ripping the line as well. Really poor experience, definitely will take my shoes somewhere else next time

I took a pair of sandals, which I had rarely worn, to have the soles made higher and paid £12.50. When I picked up the sandals, they had only replaced the existing soles . This is NOT what I asked for and was NOT needed. They had not made them higher.
After visits and a letter, they have declined to do anything; and would not give a refund of the £12.50.
They were rude and dismissive. I would never go there again.

Just got my Clothes Altered (4 Suit Trousers), and it was perfectly fitted. First time trying them out and will continue to do business with them. Great work!

UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, RUDE AND DENIED ANY RESPONSIBILITY AFTER RUINING £800 COAT AFTER IGNORING INSTRUCTIONS ON THE CARE LABEL.

We are going to seek arbitration to the small claims court because their response after ruining and shrinking the fur on the coat was unacceptable.

We brought in a coat with fur trim and they returned it with the real fur shrunk, damaged from heat/water and slimy with chemicals. The first time the person in the store said they would wash it again/send it for repair to the main store (Chris Dry Cleaners). They took it in and sent it back again in the same state. When we went to Chris Dry Cleaners the owner and the other man shouted at me saying they had never washed the fur first (which smelled heavily of laundry detergent from their store) and then asked to see pictures of the coat from before to prove it was not ruined already.

We then went back with before pictures of the coat they still refused to admit they had washed the fur, saying the visibly ruined fur now looked the same - and when asked further said that even if they did wash it, they did it according to the label - pointing out that it didn't specify to wash fur separately (which was clearly stated, showing they never read it). And again they shouted at us when we were speaking calmly, in addition to threatening to call the police, refusing to come to the front of the store to speak, refusing to provide an email address or personal phone number to write to them when seeking arbitration.

Please avoid this place at all costs.

Great for alterations but absolutely destroyed my favourite shirt by shrinking it then refuse to admit that they had shrunk it by telling me its impossible to shrink a shirt. So not only have I paid for a service but have also lost a really nice shirt. Disappointing and a little accountability would have gone a long way! Alterations are usually well done though. Will edit if this changes

It's sad this has negative reviews. We have only used them for tailoring so can't comment on other services. For tailoring though they are absolutely BRILLIANT: open and honest, a good price, on time and above all excellent work.
