Aron Specialist Dry Cleaners

These guys rock!! (Especially Zaff!) I had a dress disaster last Friday evening just before they closed when I discovered that the car seatbelt had flattened the velvet and my dress looked terrible! I spotted Aron Dry Cleaners on my way to the event, popped in and 2 minutes later, I was wrapped in the changing room curtains while Zaff steamed out my dress!!! I re-emerged shortly afterwards having had a good giggle and in a perfect frock! ❤️ A big thank you the to team at Aron DC! 😀

Review is for key cutters. As far as I'm aware they're part of Aron Specialist, owner can remove review if not.

Used them a few times, most recently for keys to new flat. Key cutter advised that key would be very unlikely to copy properly as it was too low quality and recommended not going ahead, instead getting the original copy to do so. Landlord refused to do this and asked to go elsewhere, so we ended up having to go to another key cutters. We checked two others, and neither thought there would be an issue with making a copy of our keys. The one we went to (not at Aron) took our money and made a copy. Lo and behold, the copy did not work and got stuck in the door, meaning we had to spend £260 on a locksmith to drill through the lock, and will now have to get a new lock. Of all the key cutters we spoke to, the one at Aron Specialist was the only one to correctly diagnose the problem with the keys, even though it meant him not getting our business - had our landlord accepted his advice straight away we would not have ended up with a £260 bill!

Obviously knows his stuff way better than any others we spoke to. A shame we have since moved out of the area, but would recommend to others as their first and only port of call.

We took our Daughter in laws Wedding dress and a brides maid in on the 30/7/2019 we where told 10 days it would be ready .We finally got it back on the 7.9.2019 after all this time we never got one phone call as to the progress of dresses even tho they had our number and promised to call us. And when we did get it back they had lost the dress cover bag and there was sever dirt stains for all this they wanted us to pay £150 when we challenged them they took off £60. We are still awaiting the return of the Dress Cover. There customer relation are zero when you asked the staff whats going on they replied don't know see the manager .. And i would warn anyone not to take such items of value to this cleaners they really are dysfunctional.. I gave it a one star be cause i could not post this review otherwise but only for that reason

Dry cleaning has always been reliable and liked their service.

It's more the tailoring service. I'd only take cheap clothes there for very basic alterations - not expensive items. And the price for basic shortening for example does not really match the quality of the result ...

I have used Aron Specialist as I moved to the Tower Hill area and I have found the attitude of Tina, one of their staff members repeatedly confrontational and aggressive. Her customer service is awful. For example, I took a pair of jeans for repair of the zipper and I was charged £15 for the fix. Once I collected the jeans the zip broke straight away. I bought them back again and Tina said I would have to pay the full price again. No negotiation and no apology for not actually fixing the problem - in fact they first denied that they were the same pair of jeans! Tina has repeatedly been awful to deal with. I will be changing my Dry Cleaners because of this.

We are tourist and lived in the hostel nearby. The dry cleaning services was a terrible experience due the dishonesty of the staff. When we tried to make a small load of laundry (<6kg) there, the staff asked us if we need an extra bag for putting the dirty clothes WITHOUT MENTIONING AN EXTRA COST OF 15 POUNDS INCURRED FOR THE EXTRA BAG. Eventually, the cleaning and drying of approximately 5kg of clothes cost us 30 pounds, which was extremely expensive compared to other stores. The fact that the staff tried to rip tourist off is obvious and should not be encouraged. Won't go there again.

Frustrating opening times. Only open during office hours, closed on Sunday. Not practical for a dry cleaner

I complained about two cashmere sweaters (different brands) who came back elongated and stretched out (one sweater turned into a mini-dress, such that even my husband noticed). I also made the point that I had both sweaters dry cleaned before and never had this issue. This is the response I got:

Our staff is fully trained and experienced. We always check all clothing labels before starting our cleaning procedure.

We have dry cleaned your both items under the guidance of your label. If you think your items have been shrink and stretched, you should contact the seller and their labels doesn’t match with the cleaning instructions.

Sorry for any inconvenience
