We take all of our dry cleaning to them and the service is excellent.

What a great service and nice easy people to deal with and they cannot help enough. I took a suit jacket with a few stains on, I doubted they could make it good again, but they excelled and returned it as though it was brand new.

I would highly recommend you use their service, it’s second to none in the area and unrivalled.

I’ve been using their services for a number of years and have found them to be polite, professional and Curtis. The returned laundered shirts have been wrapped, starched, clean and folded. They have also altered my granddaughter’s prom dress and the results are amazing. I would have no hesitation in recommending this service to friends and family.

Took 2 pairs of curtains to alter/clean and 3 pairs of dress curtains to dry clean. Been told the alteration will cost £195, no problem. Never heard how much the cleaning will be except £8.75 per square yard. 2 weeks later I went to collect the curtains. The owner produced a bill of £945.35, out of which £750.35 was the dry cleaning cost of 5 sets of curtains (and 3 of them aren’t even real curtains! They are dress curtains that are barely 1m wide in total... ) but she said those dress curtains are thicker so suddenly it is £12.75 per square yard! She insisted the cost is right and she’s even given me 25% discount on the curtain cleaning and said my husband has seen and approved of the cost (which he obviously is completely unaware of). I think, out of being just shell-shocked at the cost, I somehow paid and said I will go home measure the curtains and revert.

Long story short, after measuring the curtains generously and applied higher rate for the dress curtains, I realised she basically overcharged me a whopping £372!!! She was only offering £255 as initial refund, then went up to £300, then said £350 is the best she could do. She finally refunded me the full £372 after I insisted on my calculation and offered to take the curtains back to the shop for her own measurement.

The whole experience until the payment point was nice but it definitely feels like being ripped off by a smiling con artist. 5 set of curtains cost £378 to dry clean... I think I could have easily done that lower than £150 in the shop around the corner.

She insisted the calculation was a genuine mistake, however she’s been in the business for so long.. if charging someone double “feels right”, then she’s either a fraud or best a very unprofessional shop owner.

Utterly disappointed and still outraged at the this experience. I hope people are warned and think twice before taking their business to them. She clearly takes her chances with relatively affluent customer groups in this area.

Clothes always come back immaculate, alterations done amazingly well, and the owner is such a lovely lady. Thank you so much Excel for such a lovely service, and I would have no hesitation at all to recommend you to others.

Awful dry cleaners. They returned my coat covered in fluff and dirt around the collar, all for £22.50. They refused me a refund. Avoid at all costs! Waste of time and money. There are much better local dry cleaners with better service and who cost far less.

We have used this dry cleaner for five years and we have only ever had a fantastic service. The owner is very generous with her time and always goes above and beyond for us.

When my mum moved into a care home at short notice, Excel ironed name labels into all of her clothes and delivered them to her new home.
They took a lot of care and did a great job.
