What an amazing electrician from start to finish! Extremely tidy and the work was outstanding with a really professional finish! Michael was wonderful and advised on finishing touches and the best way to carry out the work. I would highly recommend Micheal for all of your electrical work and he will be the only electrician I use in the future.

He replaced five ceiling lights, fitted five additional double sockets and re-located two ceiling lights.

I recently moved into my new house in Ongar and i have Michael at Archbright to thank for all his hard work from installing a whole new fuse box with meticulous labelling, to removing the old electrical storage heaters and installing the power supply for new cooker. Sunday morning 20th March and no power to any plug sockets in the house! No coffee, fridge and freezer not happy and I'm also on a work deadline. Arghhh! Messaged Michael (who I've happily used before) and he made some suggestions to try - all to no avail. So he arranged to come over, all within 2 hours of initial contact and quickly found the problem - a faulty trip switch and he had the spare part!
Can not tell you how happy and grateful I was that he was able to help AND on a Sunday too. Coffee consumed and deadline was met - just!
Highly recommend Michael - unflappable, calm, methodical - just what you need in an "emergency" situation, thank you!

This tradesmen charges a day rate of £600 + VAT. DOUBLE the market price, regardless of works - please go to check-a-trade to see this for yourself.

Very expensive, unwilling to negotiate. Charges over £700 to change the front plate of 30 light switches.

Not my cup of tea, especially during a recession.

Also, he backtracked on our initial quote that was agreed in advance and got him through the door, after I wasn't happy with paying for additional works.

If changing a few switches, lights, and sockets is what you classify as 'extensive works', then that does not bode well for your company.

The re-wiring job is what you originally quoted as £105. This is the works we were happy to proceed with, not all the additions that you suggested during your visit. However, you backed-out of this job as well, due to our unwillingness to pay an extortionate amount of money for what was essentially 30 light switches, one new socket, and a few new lights.

Over £1,500 was quoted for about a day and a half's work - £96 per hour for the labour alone, including VAT. Simply replacing the light switches was costed at £720, incl. VAT, for just over 7 hours work (a job that other electricians have suggested will take 6 hours most, at a rate of £35 per hour)...

No links to products were provided by you or your company, so this statement is false. We actually suggested suppliers for sockets and other products during your visit. There has been no DIY work undertaken the electrical works for our home either.

Overall, it is a shame that you are unwilling to negotiate or provide a meaningful business partnering experience with your potential clients. I wish you all the best on your future endeavours.

Extremely pleased with Michael’s work. Very professional. The cooker hood was quite awkward to install.
I also had two broken sockets which Michael fixed at no extra charge.
I would highly recommend this company.

Michael and his friendly and professional team fitted three outside lights and an outside plug socket. He kept me up to date with when he would be able to do the job (and when he wouldn't due to weather conditions!) and what he was going to do. He sent over details of the lights to be fitted to check whether I was happy with them, and consulted with me throughout the job to make sure everything went where I wanted it. He approached the job as though it were on his own house - keeping the area tidy, being respectful to neighbours, and making it look as presentable as possible. Disruption was kept to a minimum and he was happy to work around our own work commitments. I would use this company again if I needed any further work doing and would recommend them to others.

Michael and his team have carried out two jobs for us now. They are knowledgeable, precise and very professional. The quality of work is high so we are glad to have found a good electrician to call upon for honest advice. Highly recommended!
