Mark is UNRELIABLE AND deceive. When reported power tripping issues, charged call out £70.00 disconnected one faulty equipment. Again tripping continues , against charged call out £70.00, disconnecting RCB, then recommended change of Fuse board, again charged £470.00 , when reported issue with faulty light during fuse board installation, promised to come again after including the charges in invoice including VAT even though NOT Vat registered, since received money no answers to phone calls. Never use him again, I doubt very much if he is a qualified registered NICEIC as his details never shown on NICEIC website. Even the receipt shows different address. Website non existent. KEEP AWAY from him.

The first time I used Mark, all was good I was very pleased with what he did. The 2nd time I called him he arranged to come and do some more work for us. He did not bother turning up nor did I get a phone call to say why this was. This is very unprofessional. I could never use this company again because bottom line, they are too unreliable and you could never plan your day. One star is too good for them. Do yourself a favour and find a reliable, electrical tradesman.

I hired this guy to put in a new two gang light switch upstairs, so that I could control the downstairs light from upstairs. This involved putting in a new cable from the downstairs light switch to the upstairs light switch. All in all he carried out the work to a reasonable standard for a reasonable price.

So, it seemed.

After, I had the walls skimmed with plaster and painted, then I decided to change all the sockets and switches for new ones more my taste.

This is where things took a wrong turn.

I had difficulty re-wiring the upstairs light switch, I kept tripping the circuit when I tried to turn off the downstairs light from upstairs. Couldn't figure it out, so decided to call Wynne electrical as it was he who installed the switch.

I called him and left a message detailing the issues. He never called back and more curiously when I tried to call him back his phone was suddenly disconnected. I relented and called in another electrician.

The new guy quickly discovered the reason for my failings regarding the upstairs light switch.

Brace yourselves.

It turned out, he used a two core cable instead of a three core cable to connect the downstairs switch to the upstairs switch. For all those uninformed, this is against regulations and dangerous. He used the earth wire from the two core cable (which is unsheathed because it is not meant to be a live wire) as a live wire.

This also meant that the light switch was not earthed. This means if any of the live wires ever became loose inside the light switch, the whole switch could become live and anyone pressing the switch would be potentially electrocuted. This could have been one of my three children. Doesn't bear thinking about.

All because it was not earthed.

He did all the hard work to actually install the cable, but just used the wrong cable (a three core cable carries an extra wire to be used as a live wire). This means, in my opinion, that either he is incompetent and doesn't know what he is doing or that he knew he was using the wrong cable (as I previously stated this is against British electrical regulations) and used it anyway knowing this is potentially very dangerous. This is actually worse.

I guess he figured that I would never change the switches and would be non the wiser as a result. And upon realising that he had been rumbled, he probably decided to block my calls and feign ignorance rather than hold his hands up and admit wrong doing and remedy the situation.

Now, I actually managed to call him using my wife's phone and he said he would look into it and call me back. Guess what? That call never came and he never answered his phone again. As a result of his dodgy work, I had to have the cable replaced for the correct one, ruining my new skimmed and painted walls and at added cost.

All in all, I wish that I had never hired this guy. So, do yourself a favour and take heed from my experience. In my humble opinion, he is unethical, unreliable and unprofessional, so do NOT use this company.

Also, note that HE gave HIMSELF a five star review on google! Says it all.

This guy Mark is a complete idiot. Should not be allowed anywhere near electrics.
He told me he'd fitted many ring door bells to mains. But he didn't know which transformer
He needed AC or DC. SO I HAD TO FIND OUT FOR HIM. drilled 3 holes for one cable. Used 3 core
When 2 core should have been used. Charged me £75 for a transformer which didn't work.
When callled the next day to report a fault. Wouldn't pick up and has not answered since.
And to add to my woes. He lost the securing screws which will cost another £10 to replace.
