Nigel was recommemded to me by my plumber. He came and installed downlights in a bedroom, and a light and switch in the loft. He is knowledgeable, friendly and professional, and I wouldn't hesitate to use him again in the future.

Nigel was recommended by a neighbour who had used him in a professional capacity in the past. Nigel provided an outstanding service from start to finish in every aspect of the work he completed for my very elderly mother. It was an extremely challenging fault to locate but he persevered relentlessly until he had pinned it down and was able to fix all the malfunctioning lights. He gave us an appointment very quickly which was much appreciated as the safety of my elderly mother was a real concern. Nigel worked without any breaks and was unfailing polite and helpful. He communicated clearly about what he was doing and what would be needed on a return visit to complete the work. The final bill was clearly itemised and a very fair price for the work done. I would highly recommend Blue Lightning and I will certainly use them again if I need electrical work undertaken in the future. Thank you!

Nigel Crossman of Blue Lighting Electrical has done a wide range of electrical work at my twenty residential let properties in Guildford since October 2014. Nigel is firstly highly reliable. He commits to a date and always arrives. On the job he is professional, reliable and efficient. He notes other work that may be needed in the future and reports back in a comprehensive and understandable way. He keeps records of the work done and observations made so that if called out to a job knows the setup and equipment in use and arrives with the right parts. he understands my need for long term stability of my installations and does not compromise with a sort term approach. He is very conscious of safety and ensures that there are no compromises that might expose my tenants or me to danger. On site he is courteous to tenants. His charge out rates are reasonable and time worked is accurately recorded. I have no hesitation in recommending Nigel for residential and tenanted properties. I recently asked Nigel to do an Electrical Installation Condition Report of a house that I was buying to live in. Nigel identified three elements of the existing system that were potentially dangerous and six elements where improvements were recommended. This report and a structural report that also identified inadequacies, resulted in me asking for, and the vendor agreeing to make a contribution to the cost of the necessary works. The vendor, Edward Bouverat, was not a client of Nigel Crossman, nor did he pay anything towards Nigel's inspection fee. It is therefore a great sadness that he has taken revenge on Nigel by writing a bad review and rating him as one star, a week ago.

“I should have gone to you in the first place” is what I told Nigel at Blue Lightning after he saved me a lot of money and hassle providing me with an EICR after a bad experience with a dodgy competitor. I have used Nigel’s services several times in the past with excellent results.

Very prompt professional service, meticulous fault finding and rectification to restore circuit following rodent damage plus install of new sockets and RCB... highly recommended.
