I rang Alect due to my boiler not working and somebody was out within the hour. Unfortunately they were not able to fix the problem that night however quickly fitted me in for a boiler replacement. Everyone I came into contact with was very helpful and professional and I would highly recommend Alect to anyone!

We could not be happier with Alect! They carried out an inspection on a faulty electric fire. When they couldn’t repair it they quickly sourced an alternative and fitted it without delay. Communication was friendly and efficient at all stages of the process. Great job done - thank you!

Very professional company. Organised the initial Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) within a few days from my initial enquiry. EICR was very thorough, as you would expect. Report was generated and returned within a few working days (as stated).

When informing me of remedial work (required to pass the EICR), along with the comprehensive PDF report, I received an email with the list of failures was detailed in a bullet-point list in clear and in easy-to-understand terms. Each item was priced and made it simple and clear what was needed, no messing around. Once agreed, work was booked in and carried out within a few weeks - many thanks.

Alect were fantastic, amazingly responsive, with very detailed emails answering all my queries. They were polite, professional, prompt and fair with their charges. They prefer not to cut corners so I paid a little more but the EICR job was thorough and I don't regret paying the extra for peace of mind. I'm sure that when the certificate comes up for renewal in five years, there will be little if any extra work to do.

What has stood out for me is their communication. I passed on their original quotation to two other electricians for their comments and, to their credit, Alect didn't mind at all and gave a reasoned and considered response to some of the points that were raised. I actually ended up falling out with one of the other electricians because I felt that, if I would have gone with him instead, he would have cut corners just to be more price competitive, and he didn't like to hear that! In the end, I decided that only with Alect would I have peace of mind that the job had been done properly. And it has!

From start to finish the service and level of work was excellent - would highly recommend. Very reasonably priced and up front with no hidden costs, quick to respond, friendly staff both in the office and the guys on the ground
