They promise appointments to be placed online but that has never happened. They want you sit on the website and watch to see when an appointment is released? But who can do that? If you are busy working and still check the online booking and yet there is non how can you get your passport renewed?
Not satisfied at all

I’ve lived in London for 8+ years and I really appreciate the Swedish embassy and their staff. The opening times are good (especially for an embassy), the staff are always so helpful and friendly and they are quick to respond to queries. An especially big compliment for everyone helping and running the elections, it’s always so smooth voting here and always done with a big smile. We appreciate you!

Every Tuesday for months, I have tried to call during the allotted 1 hour that the phone lines are open between 2-3pm. Most days, I have tried to call over 200 times during that hour - and not once have I got through to speak to anyone. The phone line is constantly engaged with everyone trying to call at the same time.

The Swedish Embassy and the Migration Agency has a crisis on their hands - thousands of people are trying to renew their passports at the same time. Why would the Embassy in London not increase it’s hours from a measly 1 or 2 hours of phone calls a week.

That’s not even to mention the appointment system - we have been trying for 9 months now to get a passport appointment at the London Embassy and still have nothing. We go online every morning and every lunchtime checking and there’s absolutely nothing. We can’t even speak to anyone about it!

Absolutely pathetic service, if you can even call it that. Hire more staff, increase your hours (no more of this summer hours nonsense), allow the other UK consulates to help in passport matters and fix this crisis - it’s your job! You’re leaving so many people in a dire situation!

Disregarding the fact it took 9 months to get an appointment which seems to be a worldwide issue, my visit to the embassy was very smooth. The young staff member who helped me with my passport application was very helpful and knowledgeable and despite some technical issues on the day (system crashed worldwide) my application was successful. The only reason I have not rated 5 stars is that there was one queue outside for both collections and appointments when I arrived and when I questioned it with the door man he told me to wait on the opposite side of the steps. Just put some little signs up for collection and appointment queues to avoid confusion as the queue was 15 deep for collections when I arrived and several people with appointments where waiting in the queue for collections.

Lovely staff who work here and very helpful. However the passport renewal process needs to be looked at. It should never be easier for me to travel back to Sweden to apply for my passport. And that's the tip, if you can't get an appointment here, book one in Sweden and travel home to get it done. They will deliver it to the embassy in London for collection, just a £16 fee

Impossible to get an appointment for passport renewal, ended up doing it in Sweden instead. Then I had to wait 1,5h to collect it at the embassy. There was only one person working, up until closing time when they finally got like 3 more people.

The queuing system wasn’t very fair either because the people who weren’t collecting passports got to go before the passport collectors, even thought we’d been waiting way longer and our errand is much faster. It should be first come first serve no matter the reason for your visit - since everyone gets served by the same person.

You’re probably best off showing up like 5 min before closing because before that they serve almost nobody.

I couldn’t get an appointment to apply to renew my passport, I had to fly to another country to fill my application. Although they answered my email very quick to say why no appointment ware offered.
Despite I had to spend two day’s journey and extra cost I hope the delivery will go smooth here in london.

Been trying since October last year to get a new passport.....Called them kept looking when they release new times nothing. I can understand that they might be given a certain amount of time slots. But the information is not clear at all when they are released it said First working day of every month between 9 - 12. I have not found anything...
