Beautiful little churchyard next to a pretty church in the small village of South Pickenham. Snowdrops, daffodils and primroses in abundance in the correct season.

Interesting church, with some wall frescos and carving along the roof, as well as a beautifully ornate organ. Sadly they currently have bats so everything is covered with plastic to protect it.

I really like this beautiful looking church although it is restored at different times. The Norman tower with a late medieval crown on top, the work done inside, which I was not able to see at this visit, is apparently very inkeeping, even though some as late as the early 20th Century. Inside is also an organ by the eminent architect Augustus Pugin (he of the Houses of parliament/Commons fame) amongst many others....
I visited in Mid-February and the crocuses were out in force which was a lovely sight to see as well.

All Saints is a truly wonderful church with round tower & a long history. All Saints' churchyard is also a tranquil, secluded, garden alike place, with a remarkable variety of wildflowers. Perched on a hillside, the churchyard at South Pickenham provides awe inspiring views out towards Swaffham...
