St Bartholomew's Church, Foston

Lovely church.....went for the Christmas tree festival

Associated with a deserted village that is still sometimes hinted at in the field marks nearby, the sign by the road side says '10th century church'. Externally there wasn't much obviously of that date. The church was locked. The grounds nicely kept with some pretty wild flowers and a seat. Outside a good sized parking area just off the road made it an easy place to stop. I hope to visit another time to see inside.

Traditional church with the usual uncomfortable pews. Flower festival brilliant.

Definitely needs help in all aspects church needs funds for repairs ,the grounds and head stones was poor only popped in for photo reasons as i love old churches .
