Lovely old Norman church. The corbel table is a rare treat. Covered in lovely carvings from the 12th century. Well worth a look. Beautiful place.

Beautiful church and the flowers in the graveyard are lovely, a credit to the volunteers , i assume, who maintain the place.

Famous hymn-writer and poet Frances Havergale is buried here in the churchyard. The Norman church is lovely as well!

We came across this church by 'accident' and were so glad we did, because upon arrival, I'd realised we'd been 'led'. As I'd been asking for three things. One was to see an old church, in the countryside, we've never been to before. Another was somewhere nice, we could go for a little stroll. And the third was Snowdrops, as a tribute to my Mom, who passed away in St Richard's Hospice, and their symbol is Snowdrops, which has symbolic significance to me too. Showing God works in mysterious ways, which to be honest, isn't so mysterious to me, as my prayer was answered yet again, and it's no mystery, because I understand how it works.
I'd also like to add a big THANK YOU, to the kind person, who thoughtfully left some beautifully worded, laminated poems, in the entrance, for people to take home with them, during this time of lockdown restrictions, when we're not allowed in. The author, Francis Havergal, was obviously one very wise, insightful lady, who 'devoted her life to Thee'.
