Escape Asylum

I've now been to this venue twice and each time, I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. Not to spoil it for anyone daring to venture the challenge, but I personally found the escape room a well-rounded selection of puzzles and thinking outside the box.

This escape room is suitable for beginners and escape room veterans.

The staff are incredibly helpful, and fully onboard to any suggestions, queries and questions regarding their games. They even took the time to have a real conversation with my family and the personal touch of taking a photo and sharing it via social media, made for a perfect outing. I would always recommend this for a different day out, and once you try it, you'll be hooked to escape rooms!

After doing several escape rooms in Leicester and across the UK I would say that this is an EXCELLENT place to go!!
The staff are lovely and keep interacting and scaring you throughout the experience.
It’s not just loads of padlocks, you can use your initiative to do things faster/better

Went today with the family with none of us ever doing anything like this! Wow that was an experience cutting it close right down to the last minute. I can say I’m a survivor and a fool for punishment - time to schedule in the next escape trial!
Highly recommend it, staff were brilliant and probably had a good laugh at our expense watching the cameras 😂
We chose the easier (not so scary one for the first time) not too bad going to be heading back to try the others (will select a better team for the next visit)

Brilliant idea for an establishment friendly and welcoming staff. Great for a day out for friends and family. The cabin room is suitable for children aged 10 and above however the cirque du slay and the asylum are only suitable for adults.Games well thought out and have you hooked the minute you enter and the backstories leave you intrigued.

By far the best escape experience in the city. Your experience is personal, fun and really sets the scene. Love the new location is epic and adds to your experience with E.A. once the new rooms are up and ready we will be back for sure! Keep up the good work guys.

It was the best day of my life. Me and my best friend can not put it into words just how much we loved the escape asylum. Thank you so much to Oscar, who ran our slot - you did an amazing job. I will definitely be coming back again. And would absolutely reccomend the asylum to anyone who is thinking of going

Came in with family, first experience with an Escape Room. Was a fun experience even though we weren't able to finish. Some of the hints we were given related to things we had already finished but other than that it was a nice experience. Would visit again.

Unfortunately I think we were just unlucky in our visit but a lot went wrong for us. Our UV torch run out of batteries so we had to call for a new, not great when doing something timed. Then one of the puzzles that was triggered by magnets actually didn't work so although we got the answer it didn't trigger the release to open the next bit so we spent ten minutes trying different options before calling them to help us only to be told we'd had it right on first attempt. There was also a few other small issues on top of these two that just made it more frustrating than challenging. With all the problems they said they'd add on more time which we appreciated but we still got out within the hour so it wasn't needed. It was more of a thank god that shambles was over than a yay we've got out on time when we escaped.
Maybe we're better off in another room but unfortunately after our visit it's probably better we visit a different location as we've been to a few before and not experienced such issues.

Pros: cheapest escape room for 2 players in Leicester. Friendly staff. Bigger rooms than most escape rooms we've previously visited. Tablet computer given to provide hints (if wanted) again a concept I'd not seen before.

Cons: the room we did needs a little tlc. They could also do with providing multiple torches in case of loss of battery but also I can imagine if we'd gone as a team one torch wouldn't have felt like enough.

On my recommendations: don't do the bank job room but I wouldn't say avoid this place completely, even considering we personally didn't have a great experience, I do think some of it was us being unlucky in our visit.
