Wrap a Hug Sling Library East London

Sling library is such a brilliant idea! Found my 40 min consultation with Mel very useful and came out inspired to do a lot more baby carrying. There was progress in 1 day, the ring sling Mel lent me seems to suit baby and me really well. Only wish I had discovered Mel earlier! Highly recommended, if you want to save time and money researching on the Internet and buying carriers you don't end up using!

This is a fantastic service. As a new parent you are bombarded with marketing for products and its expensive! Mel's sling library is a brilliant way to find what you need, with expert guidance and a low financial barrier and loads of flexibility. Being able to swap slings when we like means we're not stuck needing one sling that does everything, and having try-before-you-buy (or rent!) is priceless. Mel's advice is easy to digest and helped us feel confident with baby carrying. I highly recommend Wrap a Hug!

I have never met anyone who knows as much about baby carrying as Mel does! She came recommended by a friend and we went to see her before our baby had arrived. She showed us some baby carrying options, demonstrated different ways to carry baby and helped us choose what might work best for us. The consultation fee even included a little visit after the baby was born to make sure we position him correctly in the sling and that baby wearing is safe and comfy for both parent and baby.
We went so see Mel again 3 months in to get a baby carrier - she has so many on offer but is such a professional that she knows what you'd find most comfortable. You can pick and mix and swap until you are happy with your choice. And all you need to do then is pay a very small fee to hire the carrier and use it as much as you like!

Mel is a lovely person and having her expert advice and the ability to try different slings and have them properly fitted for my baby was such a great help. Mel helped me source the best sling for me - I realised being able to put it on easily by myself and back support were the most important factors for me - and she allowed me to take one of the slings on a long term loan while I was traveling. I cannot recommend Mel enough! She is super knowledgeable and will make you feel confident about baby wearing. She gave lots of useful information, and was happy to answer questions after my initial appointment, as well as dedicating extra time to make sure I was fully comfortable with the sling. Renting a sling is very convenient and saves you from having to buy one or multiple ones. I'm now using it all the time, and baby and I couldn't be happier!

I hired 2 slings from Mel over the past year or so. Mel was great at helping me decide which slings to go with. Our baby was a tiny 4lbs so we didn't have many options to begin with and started with a stretchy wrap which can be daunting at first but Mel showed us how to tie it and sent lots of video guides as follow up. Mel is super friendly and full of advice, I'd definitely recommend a consultation and using her sling library.

I'd thoroughly recommend Mel and her sling library. Being able to try different slings, and adjust or swap them as your babies grow, is brilliant. Mel is super knowledgeable and able to advise on all sorts of needs - like which are best for tall or short or inflexible people, or for quick transfers eg taking a baby to the car, or long hikes, or which combine with which if like me you have twins. She's really friendly too, and put me right at ease. She talks a mile a minute, but don't worry, you don't have to remember everything as she follows up with handy videos and can answer questions by text/email too. And baby wearing has been a really positive experience :)

Mel is simply the best, incredible knowledge and vast experience Mel totally knows her stuff when it comes to baby carrying and advice. Mel was very patient and made me feel confident and comfortable with my carrier and empowered to experiment to find ways that work best for my body and baby to use the carrier by listening to our personal needs. I felt even more confident putting my trust in Mel as baby's safety and supporting my back to ensure the use of the carrier would not impair my back health are also top concerns and priorities for Mel. My only regret was not going to see Mel much sooner as the more professional and trusted insight and advice early on would have saved me a lot of time faffing around with carriers not suitable for me and not recommended as good and only Mel will give that unbiased and personal opinion and advice. She truly cares about getting it right for you and your baby.
