My husband and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at Bwlford Smallholding and we can't write this review quick enough! We didn't want to leave!

Richard and Clare are the most welcoming of hosts. Set in beautiful South Pembrokshire, it's the perfect location to explore the local beaches and surrounding coastal path.

If you love nature and the outdoors then Bwlford Smallholding will be right up your street! From chickens to pigs, lambs to turkeys, there's an array of animals to interact with. Richard and Clare are more than willing to show you around and involve you in collecting eggs and feeding the birds, I even got to hold a lamb! And as for the fishing, my husband was in his element! It's great to see a traditional fishery with a native stock of Roach, Mirror Carp and Common Carp amongst other varieties. All the fish caught were in exceptional condition, probably due to the lake being naturally spring fed.

Accommodation was fantastic, well equipped and reasonably priced, with the added bonus of fresh eggs and a little welcome treat.

Our Bernese Mountain Dog was most welcome too and enjoyed a run round around with Richard and Clare's three beautiful Labs!

Can't wait to return hopefully in the Summer for round 2! We can't speak highly enough of Bwlford and owners.

Just had 2 weeks holiday at the cottage. The welcome by the hosts Claire and Richard made us really welcome and I must say the homemade Welsh cakes are to die for plus the hot tub was the high light of the holiday are 10 year old son was in it first thing in the morning and last thing at night. Plus the fishing lake which Richard let's us borrow fishing gear was great as my son as never fished before but loved it. I turely recommend this place for a holiday will definitely be going back

Me and my son had a wicked day fishing here. Fish were biting and they fight like wild fish. Loads of fun and lovely owners can’t recommend highly enough. This was our first time here it was fun finding the bait that they like and fishing method. Definitely our go to fishing spot now :) thank you 😊

We had a great stay, Clare is lovely and welcoming. She left us freshly baked welsh cakes and free range eggs from the farm on arrival. The village is walkable and the accommodation is a good base, clean and cosy. Mobile phone signal very good here too, great for a semi rural location. A good place to stay for a few days exploring.

What an amazing week we have spent at this delightful CL, so central for all Pembrokeshire's secret beaches. The owners are charming, their turkey and duck eggs are divine and there is so much space to explore.

Do not believe the bad review about traffic noise, it is a total exaggeration; we have had no distrurbance at all.

If you can have some of their honey, I totally recommend it 🐝 🍯

My son was shown all the animals on the Smallholding and they're super dog friendly.

Great place, highly recommend. We have stayed at the cottage on 3 occasions and could not fault it. Richard and Clare are amazing hosts. We have recently bought a motorhome, so this time we used the hardstanding , overlooking the fishing lake. Its such a peaceful place, love listening to the sheep, turkeys and ducks. Hubby enjoys the fishing. I enjoy the tranquility.

Traffic noise was horrendous.

We wanted to love this place, but couldn’t. Owner was lovely. Site was a nice open field and the pitches were level with ehu and water. But a new road bypass has obviously been built since this site started. It is a 60mph road, which is about 20m from the caravan pitches. The traffic noise was absolutely horrendous and we did not sleep for our 4 night stay. Sorry, but an awful experience.
