Liked: Lovely host and excellent, thoughtful facilities. Compact but well thought out site. Great location to head west to the coast or east into the mountains.

Disliked: As a dog owner it was a shame the only access to local footpaths from the site was a little way along the main road which had no footpath.

Liked: Loved the location of the site along with how quiet it was. The site offers good, clean facilities and stunning views. With less than 10 pitches its a small well spec'd site that I would happily recommend. Catherine the owner was warm and welcoming and also offered recommendation on local attractions and restaurants.

Disliked: Not so much as a criticism, more a recommendation for others; we had a larger pitch so we could use our drive away awning. This meant we were on hard standing (which I knew when we booked) but the ground was so compact it was virtually impossible to get pegs in.

Liked: Beautiful place scenery was lovely. Quiet, very well kept small site. Shower and toilet blocks kept immaculately clean. The owner was so lovely and couldn't do enough for you. Even put ice cubes in the freezer for us and another couple staying as the weather was so hot!

Disliked: Nothing

Liked: Friendly host, wonderfully warm showers, peaceful campsite, lots of animals (cats, calf, cows, a chicken and a dog), water and electricity at pitch, very nicely done pitches and incredibly well maintained, lovely views, and a thousand things more ;-) It even has an allotment looking like the one in the Peter Rabbit movie!

Disliked: Somebody took our space when we came back from a day out so we missed our lovely neighbours the next night :-( We thought the spaces were allocated as we were told where we should park but then the next day it was taken…

Liked: Very friendly and helpful. Clean shower/toilet block. Beautiful views!

Disliked: Not advertised that had to drive through dairy farm to get to site, so had trouble finding it.
Had to reverse motorhome up a steep gravelled slope to get to pitch.

Liked: Beautiful location, commanding views, very welcoming. A clean well maintained site.

Disliked: Pitches were too short for our 7.1m motorhome. and access tight. As a result even with high blocks we could not get level. No problem for T5 camper type units but larger units are likely to have difficulties

Liked: We had a great stay at Harebeck, the view of the peaks was amazing and the sky was so clear due to no light pollution, we managed to see the Moon, Mars and Saturn in one evening, which was incredible.

Facilities and camping was great, the shower was lovely and warm, well needed after being rained all most of the day!

The main reason we had a great stay was our hosts, they were amazing, offering to dry our clothes the day we arrived, looking very drowned!
We had some car troubles the next day and were a bit stuck but they helped us so much and went miles above what we expected, it was a lovely touch and they are truly lovely people!

Liked: Great little site. Only small so was quiet (the time of year probably helped). Owners are very friendly and have plenty of local knowledge. Animals all seem quite friendly as well.

You wouldn't expect much from the facilities from the outside but on the inside they're great. The showers are hot and have plenty of pressure. There is also plenty of space for towels and clothes. Showers and toilets all look clean.

It was quite cloudy when I visited but the site is quite dark so I expect the night sky is quite impressive on a clear night.

Disliked: The pot washing area could do with a more thorough clean. There seemed to be some food waste in the basin but there was a bowl so not a big issue. In future, this area might benefit from a shelter for poor weather and a light on a timer. At the moment though there are some hooks which you can put a lantern on.

The site can get quite dark on a night which can make maneuvering a bit tricky, especially as the pitches are a bit of a squeeze. Some more of the solar lights along the edge of the tracks I think would help a lot.
